The Stable Rooms at the Oak Bar Ranch provide a wonderful get away in the rolling hills of Arizona’s Mountain Empire The Oak Bar Ranch was constructed in the 1930s and is an oasis located in a private valley just outside of Patagonia Arizona. Our 640 acres offer miles of on-site hiking trails, world class birding, and available guided horseback tours in the adjoining Coronado National Forest. A classic old west guest room that harkens back to the glorious days of Route 66 and Motor Courts. The room was converted from stables in 1946, and renovated in 2016. There are twin beds in the room, and it has private bath. A sliding picture window door that opens on to a shared hedge lined patio offers breathtaking views of the Patagonia Mountain range and a butterfly/hummingbird garden. “The Cowboy Kitchen” Just down the walkway from the stable rooms is a vintage 1950’s kitchen that is communally available to all guests. It is appointed with basic kitchen tools, cookware, stove, oven and refrigerator. You will find farm fresh eggs, home baked bread and cupboards stocked with basic sundries (flour, sugar, coffee, tea and spices etc.) for your use. My wife and I live just down the way from the Stable Rooms and are available with any local info or help that you might need. Additionally, Annie and Odessa are the dog ambassadors of the Oak Bar and if you'd like they will be happy to be adopted by you for your stay. The Oak Bar Ranch sits on 640 acres and buts up to the Coronado Nat'l Forest. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is it. Continental Breakfast: All lodging includes a continental breakfast served daily in the “Cowboy Kitchen” between 6am and 9am. This breakfast always includes fresh fruit & yogurt, and features a rotating selection of homemade breads, biscuits and other baked goods. Hiking Trails: The 640 acres of the Oak Bar offers 3 miles of hiking trails. If you need more than 3 miles, one of our trails leads directly to a gate that will take you out to the Coronado National Forest. Bird Watching: Patagonia and Sonoita Creek are world renowned birding spots and with the Oak Bars close proximity to those two spots we attract an amazing array of migratory birds right to our own trees and canyons. However if you would like to get away for a guided bird watching hike we are happy to make arrangements for you with a local guide. (fee) Horseback Riding:  Guided horseback rides are available here at the ranch, out to the National Forest or even in the San Raphael Valley. Lead by Arizona Trails, a company with over 20 years of trail riding experience here in Santa Cruz County, this is the perfect way to see the rolling canyons that make up the foothills of the Patagonia Mountains. (fee) WiFi and Television: The Oak Bar Ranch is a chance to “unplug” from today’s frenzied constantly connected world. We do not offer WiFi and there are no Televisions in the rooms. However cellular service is quite good, so you won’t feel completely removed from the world, unless you chose to be.
