Centrally positioned in Historical Pullman, a multiculturally diverse neighborhood, this home is beautifully renovated and minutes away from public transportation, the Metra and bus station. This home is set up for people traveling from out of town, state, and international. Original Historical Pullman home on the south side of Chicago in a friendly residential community. This is a two story house with three bedrooms, wood floors, exposed brick, and original Pullman doors. This home is owned by a minimalist providing basic furniture and space. There is a surplus of books and bookcases with a particular interest in African American literature and Theology. Tell me your favorite book author and we will try to have it available during your stay. There is a Chicago book on the first floor with highlights about this urban domain. This home is on a quiet residential street creating an atmosphere for you to unwind and rest. The entire home (first floor and upstairs) is available. The basement is not available. We kindly ask that shoes are taken off at the door. This is a fairly independent autonomous airbnb for the seasoned traveler. However, I am very familiar with Chicagoland area and know a wealth of information. Generally for check in a key lock box is made available. Depending on the time of arrival there may be someone to greet you. I have a co-host, Alden, that work with me as well. Historical Pullman is a famed community known for it's urban design and architecture. Every 2nd weekend in October people from all over visit our House Tour; (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) this home was on house tour. We also proudly house the Historical Pullman National Monument, Historical Pullman Visitor Center, and Pullman Cafe. Historical Pullman is a small diverse neighborhood that sits a few blocks west of the Bishop Ford highway giving one easy access to the city, suburbs, and Indiana. We are also just two blocks away from the police department. We have a PotBelly and McDonalds in our immediate area. We also have a little breakfast restaurant, Cal-Harbor. More recently we have an exciting new dine in eating option - (Website hidden by Airbnb) The Metra is 3 blocks away (111th & Cottage Grove or 115th & Cottage Grove) providing a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute ride to downtown. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom.
