Ouachita Pines

Quiet 9.5 acres just outside the Ouachita National Forest. Over 1000 ft of Ouachita river frontage so bring your canoes or kayaks. Oh yes, your fishing gear. Relax in the hot tub and gaze at the stars in the dark sky. Mena golf course (9 holes) is 5 minutes away. Polk County is a dry county so bring any adult beverages you will need for the stay. The closest beer store is about 20 miles away. There is a charcoal BBQ on the back deck. We do not provide charcoal. Three full baths accompany the 3 bedrooms. A sleeping porch with 2 bunk beds is a great place for the kids to nod off. Each bunk is a full and twin so 3 people per bunk. The house has 2 full kitchens for the large family reunion you may be planning. Each living area has a color TV with cable. A stereo cd player is in the main living area. Wi-fi throughout the house. You can walk the property. There is a mowed trail that goes along the river. Please be courteous to our neighbors across the field. I do not live in town so you are left to your self for your stay. guests are responsible for washing their dishes and taking out the trash. Loads of hiking trails are nearby. Hot Springs is about 70 miles away and a perfect spot for a hot mineral bath and massage. Many shopping and eating destinations in both Mena and Hot Springs. Please note that Polk County is a dry county and you will need to bring any alcoholic beverages with you. The nearest store for beer/wine/liquor is about 45 minutes away. We are about 8 miles outside of the city of Mena. All season road leads to the property.
