Don't expect guest to entertain others. Located in the village are general store, restaurants,library,art gallery and public landing all within walking distant. Eat on the dock at the famous Luke's lobster or dine in historic Wanoset restaurant. Enjoy the activity of the Harbor - lobster boats, sail boats. It's a short ride to Port Clyde America (as they like to call themselves) to catch ferry to Monhegan Island, or the take puffin or lighthouse cruise. Visit Marshall Point lighthouse which was featured in Forrest Gump, Rent a kayak with or without a guide. Sidewalks in the village area. As the summer season winds down, many of the restaurants and galleries close or are open fewer days of the week. This usually takes place after Columbus Day weekend but not always. Port Clyde General Store serves delicious breakfast and lunch year round. Black Harpoon is open Tuesday - Saturday for dinner pub style. The harbor itself is active year round. The ferry still runs to Monhegan Island. Within a 20 mi. radius , Rockland and Camden are year round towns with shops and restaurants.
