Our gracious "HANLON" room, with its twelve-foot ceiling, features a king bed, fireplace, and private bath. We have a restaurant located on the first floor where you can purchase a gourmet breakfast or lunch from 9am-1pm. A brand new TV/DVD player in the Hanlon Room will add to your enjoyment. Your private bath has a vintage tub with a shower head. The Home is a beautiful historically registered home in the heart of the charming walking village of Montgomery. The home itself was built in 3 parts, the first in 1790, the mansion portion in 1839 and then the modern artists addition in 2007. In our home we specialize in local foods and have a farm to table menu available to order breakfast from. We also have a culinary center in the original 1700s kitchen where we teach cooking classes, also available upon request. We love hosting and good food. From our porch you can stroll to your choice of critically acclaimed restaurants or check out the antique shops and gift boutiques. Recycled Style is a classy used clothing boutique right around the corner. The entrance to the"Pleasure Grounds" trails, in photo, is marked by a gazebo . Visit the Montgomery Village Museum and Fire House Museum, just down the street. The Wallkill River School and Art Gallery is a must see. And, of course, don't miss Richard's Dairy Shed, a Montgomery tradition for all ages. Montgomery is an antiquer's delight! Check out the half dozen other antique shops right here in the Village. Come to the River Valley Auction, down the street. Stay late, go out to dinner, and stay overnight with us before returning home with your treasures. Auctions are on Saturday evenings. Don't miss the Pine Bush Auction, 2 blocks away, for some great entertainment and surprising finds. Lots of wrought iron, china, old musical instruments, etc. Cross the street for our local farmers'market every Saturday. The local music scene is just down the block. On Thursdays head to Garrison's Tavern for acoustic music or Copperfield's Irish Pub to showcase your talents at their Open Mic Night. Fridays and Saturdays offer a line-up of bands at the National Hotel Bar and Grill. Right around the corner from the Borland House is the Tranquil Touch Day Spa. You can even pad over in your bathrobe and slippers if you really want to. Tranquil Touch offers a wide range of treatments and will readily accommodate your specific needs.
