COZY 1BR, VIEWS & WILDLIFE, WALK TO NAT'L PARK
CUTE APARTMENT NEXT TO NATIONAL PARK WITH VIEWS AND LOTS OF WILDLIFE
Walk a few hundred yards into the Nat'l Park from my cozy, contemporary space influenced by my Norwegian roots (County STR Permit 20-NCD0079). A 44" 4K TV, full kitchen, queen bed, private bath, and big deck will ensure a great getaway. My house basically abuts the park, so you'll see lots of wildlife as you sip your coffee! + Walk into RMNP & The Rock Inn Tavern + 2 min drive to the Park visitor center + 5 min drive to town Enjoy a tiny home with great amenities for your next vacation! NOTE: You must input dates and guest count before the platform calculates an accurate price for your visit. Thanks for checking out the north apartment in my duplex, perfectly situated just footsteps away from the boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park. You will love its cleanliness and modern, cozy feel inspired by my Norwegian roots. It's well appointed with a new kitchen, living room, TV, sofa, bed, carpet and more, and the fully equipped kitchen will allow you to feel at home during your Estes Park vacation. Note that winter tires, chains or 4WD/AWD are highly recommended in Estes Park from October to May. If you arrive in an inadequate vehicle during a winter storm and can't make it the last few hundred feet to the home, you'll need to ferry your stuff by hand and then park in our other home two blocks away and walk back. This sort of weather happens a few times a year. People who have stayed at my 425 square-foot rental have raved: "...Great place to rest your head after a long hike." "... Cute, modern cabin that is perfect distance from the National Park and town." "... Nice deck and at the top of the hill, so it felt like a true retreat." "... Rannveig was very accommodating and quickly responded!" I spent nearly three months during the winter of 2019 working to create a quiet and relaxing sanctuary for your mountain retreat. Improvements include: + Fresh paint throughout + Comfy modern couch + New carpeting in the bedroom + Twinkly, cozy lights + A brand new queen mattress for a great rest. + A 44” smart TV with lots of streaming options, + Super fast WiFi with no dead zones My favorite feature is the vaulted living room ceiling, making the tiny space feel quite big. I also love the large deck, which is surrounded by mountains. ***** FOUR IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES ***** This is a duplex, and both sides are short term rentals. The only shared space, however, is the driveway. The wall separating the units is sound insulated, but please be respectful and don't make a ton of noise. This 1940s cabin has been itching for a facelift for many years. While the inside is completely brand new (with the exception of the tub and stove), I plan to totally repaint the exterior soon, when weather allows. There are other rental units nearby in my historic cabin neighborhood. If you are looking for complete seclusion and and isolation in the woods, this isn't your best bet. Last, check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. I cannot accommodate early check ins and late check outs due to my cleaners' schedule. It's a super tiny mountain town and the cleaners are slammed and there just aren't other people to clean. I'm sorry about that! ⛰️ BEDROOMS ⛰️ My home offers 1 bedrooms with its own private bathroom, plus sleeping for two more on a living room sofa bed. Bedroom 1 - A comfortable memory-foam mattress will ensure a good night sleep after a long day of hiking. Attached is a large closet for your gear, plus a full bathroom complete with shower/tub, original wood siding from the 1940s, and a brand new toilet, vanity and medicine chest. Blackout shades ensure privacy and a sound night's rest, but if you like to wake up with the sunrise, you can leave them up and close the sheer curtains and watch the room light up in the mornings. Bedroom 1 - Not really a bedroom, but the living couch turns into a full size bed that can comfortable accomodate two. A spare set of sheets and blankets is in the chaise part of the couch, which flips up. ⛰️ LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT ⛰️ Living Room -There's a brand new 44" 4K smart television with Roku. Come on in and log into your favorite streaming service. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, etc. WiFi - My home employs a mesh WiFi network with no dead zones. A strong 100Mbps connection will allow you to stream and work without any issues. ⛰️ LAUNDRY & COOKING ⛰️ Kitchen - The galley kitchen has everything you need to cook, despite it being so small. There's a full stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and assortment of pots and pans. My brand new knives are sharp (dull knives are a pet peeve!). There are cutting boards, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and a french press so you can get your caffeine fix before you enjoy the park. Laundry - My tiny space features a full size washer and dryer that you are free to use. This is a fully furnished, private apartment with total access for you. That includes... + 1 bedroom + 1 full bathroom + 2 private parking spaces + private deck + 2 private off street parking spots I live in Estes Park and know the town and the National Park like the back of my hand. I moved here in 2010 and am a photographer specializing in weddings and family portraits. I have spent the years since climbing, hiking, skiing, cycling and adventuring in and around Rocky Mountain National Park and am happy to offer advice on the best hikes, drinks, dining and adventures in the area. I'm just a quick text or email away! Otherwise please be in touch with my co-host and house manager Nancy who will also be helping a lot during your stay! My neighborhood has about 30 historic vacation cabins. There are other buildings nearby so if you are looking for total isolation and wilderness seclusion, another home may be better for you. That said, the location can't be beat. You can hike out your door and straight into the National Park. The top of Eagle Cliff Mountain, which my home sites on the side of, has one of the best views in all of Estes Park. Standing atop it afford an unobstructed view of Beaver Meadows and all the high peaks along the Continental Divide. An unofficial trailhead is about 3 minutes from the door. You'll be on the west side of Estes Park, so you don't have to brave downtown traffic to get into the National Park. Driving into the center of town is a short 7 minute journey, and the closest grocery store is 5 minutes away. During the summer, there's a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. It stops about two blocks away. NOISE Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. Also note that it's a duplex with a shared wall and both sides are vacation rentals. Please treat your neighbors like you'd want to be treated. The house is equipped with NoiseAware which measures sound levels and alerts me if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (I will also be alerted if that happens). You can read more about this device by searching for NoiseAware on the Internet. NONPAYING GUESTS Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. There are motion sensitive security cameras on the outside of the building which will pick up nonpaying guests. ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE There is an additional charge per person for your stay after the first two guests. The platform will automatically calculate the total when you input your dates and guest count. AIR CONDITIONER Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly. BEARS Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in!
