The Apt. at Holly Cove-Waterfront

A waterfront, two room suite with a private entrance, bath, bedroom, sitting room and screened porch. Includes microwave, fridge and Kerig, coffee and snacks. Located on the grounds of Holly Cove. Cot or Pack and Play are available by request. We welcome babies and children but sorry no pets. Please let us know if you will be celebrating a special occasion while visiting. The Apartment at Holly Cove is a private waterfront, first floor suite with two rooms and a screened porch, on the grounds of Holly Cove, just minutes from the town of Onancock. The Apartment is located in an addition to the main home, attached but permanently divided. The space was specifically designed to be a private relaxing retreat for couples, families with young children and multiple generations traveling together. It is furnished with antiques inherited from our grandmothers and updated for modern living. We are glad to provide a cot or Pac and Play at no charge upon request. Guests have shared access to dock, waterfront and patio with a fireplace. Kayaks and fishing equipment are available on request. The Apartment offers a private entrance along with two rooms plus a screened porch. Our family lives full time in the main house. Guests have privacy in their own space but are welcome to enjoy the shared outside space including the waterfront, dock, and patio. We have two school aged children, a dog, a flock of friendly chickens and 2 silly goats. Also sharing space at Holly Cove is a small cottage we call The Studio also available through Airbnb. Holly Cove is located on a beautiful stretch of the Onancock Creek with breathtaking sunset views and an abundance of wildlife. We typically plan our schedule around the sunset and stop everything to enjoy a few moments of zen as we watch the nightly show. We are located 3 miles from the Town of Onancock. There are several restaurants, a movie theater, playhouse, public marina, playground, art galleries and shops in town. We love to give recommendations so feel to ask. Caution: many businesses close early. It's always good to call and check hours. Approximate drive time to nearby attractions: 45 minutes to Chincoteague, Wallops Island and Cape Charles. 1 hr 15 to Ocean City, MD 1 hr 30 minutes to Salisbury, Norfolk and Virginia Beach 3 hrs 30 to D.C. We are located approximately 3 miles from the town of Onancock. The town has several good restaurants but they close early. If you plan to arrive late you might want to eat on the way or request a Sunset Cheese Plate which can be delivered to your room for an additional fee.
