Mavhouse Large Secluded Bedroom

The large bedroom is central in the upstairs apartment and affords sitting space plus a large table for working or eating in. The bedroom feature king-sized memory foam beds and high thread count, all cotton sheets. The windows are large and allow a lot of natural light in during the day, but draperies afford privacy at night. A total of two bedrooms are available in the top floor apartment of this 1890s brick home. The apartment also contains a living room, a full, eat-in kitchen, a shared bathroom, and a laundry room. If both bedrooms are booked by the same party, the entire apartment is available for use. If separate parties book the two bedrooms, then the open areas of the apartment are shared. The bedrooms and bathroom lock for security. Breakfast is when you want it from food provided in the kitchen. Juice, coffee, hot or dry cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit are typical. Prior to your stay, you will be asked for preferences so you have what you like. A microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker and coffee bean grinder, a stove, and a fridge are available in the kitchen. Mavhouse is located in the Lowertown Arts District. The house occupies a corner lot with deep mixed perennial, conifer, and shrub borders on two sides. Many unusual plants make the gardens interesting year round, from the riot of spring bulbs to the Christmas roses (Hellebores) beginning to bloom in December and lasting for months. Guided tours of the garden are available to those interested. The house is what I call casually formal, as we are not formal people but live in a semi-formal house. It is filled with art, as we are in the arts district and have a family of artists. I love to cook, so for extended stays, expect at least one dinner invitation. There is public transit available, and the neighborhood is so warm and inviting. We have regular artists in residence, whom we "mother" a bit, so count on lots of help finding things, getting places, or just getting the scope on what's up. Galleries and studios are on most of the nearby streets, waiting for you to stop in.
