Enjoy country life on this beautiful small farm. Surrounded by forest preserves on a quiet road so you feel like you're out in the country while still close to lots of stores and amenities. Say hello to the horses, chickens, goats, and ducks. Have a bonfire to roast marshmallows outside or enjoy a fire in the large living room. Comfortable relaxing spaces, with full kitchen. Large living space and bedroom. Horseback riding lessons and pony rides for the kids are available for a fee on-site. Enjoy crisp fall mornings with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Great for a quick getaway from the city to unplug and reset. Access to pool in summer months, plus beautiful grounds, forest preserve open space, and lots of animals to enjoy watching. Full kitchen to cook your own meals or explore the area which is full of lots of restaurants, pubs, and local breweries. You will have all of the Bunkhouse to yourself. Access to walk the grounds and see the animals. The property is surrounded by Bluebird Meadow which is part of the Lake County Forest Preserve and accessible from dusk to dawn for hiking -- there are no formal trails but it's still fun to explore. The living room has a glass fireplace and there's a fire pit outside for roasting marshmallows and enjoying cool evenings. Owner on premises daily in the onsite office and in barns. The owner will have periodic riding lessons with the general public in the outdoor arena and on the property. Some days there are yoga classes or other events in the barns on the property, which guests are welcome to join in for a fee. Rural setting with easy access to shopping, restaurants and all that the Chain of Lakes area has to offer. One parking spot in front of the bunkhouse for guests. Additional parking in the driveway if needed. This is a rural area with no access to public transportation. This is a farm setting, there are roosters that crow from dawn to dusk and a donkey who loves to bray here and there. We are up feeding and working with the animals early in the mornings and occasionally need to use the tractor for various farm activities.
