Esthetically pleasing, 900 sq foot guest quarters are tastefully decorated and offer all the comforts of home, with a rustic appeal. Warm and welcoming hosts, Melissa and Tom, enjoy catering to their guests needs and and will ensure that your mountain retreat exceeds your highest expectations. The kitchen includes a microwave oven, toaster oven, mini refrigerator, and sink. ***Please note that there is no stovetop , nor is there an oven. I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob. I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists. I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay. I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. Full access to this two-bedroom guest suite above a three-car garage. The garage is attached to Melissa and Tom’s home via a breezeway where the grill is located. Guests have access to 2 sit-on kayaks and a stand-up paddle board. Five inflatable lake inner tubes are available for guest use as well. We’re respectful of your privacy but available as needed. Located in the Mystic Ridge Subdivision above Queens Creek Lake. There is a boat storage area with access to our kayaks and stand-up paddle board on the lake, at the entrance to the Mystic Ridge development (less than a mile from the house.) Very quiet / private. Vacationing here is perfect for those who love the outdoors and just want to escape the hectic pace of contemporary life.....whether you’re seeking the challenge of a strenuous mountain hike, accessing numerous mountain biking trails, fishing on the numerous rivers, streams or lakes, navigating the rapids on world class white water or you’re more into the challenge of figuring out which direction offers the best view from your hammock, the mountains of western NC provide the perfect setting. The charming town of Bryson City (a scenic 35 minute drive north, along the Nantahala River) offers the best local selection of quaint shops and highly rated restaurants for all tastes. There are two breweries in Bryson with live music options on the weekend. You’ll find a grocery store, drug store, gas stations, a post office and Swain County Medical Center in Bryson as well. On the way to Bryson City, about 25 minutes from the house, you’ll pass the Nantahala Outdoor Center, where you can rent rafts to navigate white water on the Nantahala River. Two river-front restaurants at the NOC offer a variety of options to satisfy every appetite. The town of Andrews, a 30 minute drive south from the house , features Callaboose Cellars, a delightfully cozy winery that features live music every summer weekend in a scenic outdoor vineyard setting. The Hoppy Trout in Andrews includes a microbrewery and authentic brick oven pizza. Andrews is where you’ll find the closest grocery, drug store and gas station. There’s an Urgent Care in Andrews as well. A 20 minute drive east from the house leads to Lakes End Restaurant and Marina on Nantahala Lake. The family-owned casual restaurant offers a diverse menu, outdoor seating, a large outdoor fireplace and the best waterfront views on the lake. Pontoon boats, ski boats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards are available to rent by the hour, day or week. The restaurant and marina are closed during the winter months. These are just a few local options for dining and entertainment. There are numerous areas to explore, trails to hike , rivers and lakes to fish, waterfalls to enjoy and quiet spaces to meditate.
