Our charming garden suite is perfect for your next stay in Washington D.C. Whether you are heading to downtown D.C., Old Town Alexandria, NIH, Walter Reed, AIRP, or any of the other Maryland, D.C., Virginia neighborhoods, you will enjoy our spacious, clean, relaxing space. All are welcome! We have worked hard to get it right. Every detail has been thoughtfully selected to make our guests feel at home. The apartment is situated in the basement of a colonial-style, single-family house, accessed from a private basement entrance. The suite contains--a master bedroom, with a queen bed, nightstand, large closet and dresser; an en suite bathroom, with towels, shampoo, body wash and hair dryer; and, a separate kitchenette area, with a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker--all for your own personal use. Please help yourself with anything in the cabinets and fridge, including: chips, snacks, water, coffee, tea and more! The apartment also includes a comfortable living room area with a couch, coffee table, Smart TV with Netflix, and a blue-ray player. Your suite and our living space are on separate floors. We are not noisy and make every effort to ensure quiet hours between 10:00pm and 8:00am. You may hear small amount of noise (footsteps, etc.) in the morning when we are getting ready for work. Smoking is not permitted inside the home; however, guests may smoke in the backyard. We kindly ask guests to please leave their shoes on the shoe rack when inside the house to keep our floors free of dirt and reduce allergens for all guests. Guests can check-in anytime after 3:00pm and checkout is at 11:00am. However, we are flexible if there are no conflicts with other guests; please let us know before hand so we can accommodate your schedule with other guests. The basement level of the home is used exclusively for Airbnb guests, except for the laundry room, located near the entrance. We will access the laundry room area occasionally. Limited use of the laundry is allowed for guests who needs to do few load while traveling. We don’t provide laundry detergent. There are plenty of street parking available, please do not park in the driveway. Living on the property allows us to be available to guests should they have any need, but we value your privacy. It is best if you have a car to get around but if you don’t, Metrobus stop is only a block away. You can also Uber to Wheaton Metro Station which is only 2 miles away. Guests have a private entrance around the side of the house through the backyard. Please take the stairs leading down to the basement. We have keyless entry for the basement apartment for ease and convenience. Only registered guests (no more than two) can stay in the rental unit.
