My Adobe Hacienda - Duplex A

Welcome to the historic home of Monroe Payne. Built 100 years ago in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , this adobe home has been lovingly restored with modern amenities making you feel at home. Duplex A is the larger unit of the adobe duplex, and is handicap accessible. The Monroe Payne House is a duplex home named after the original resident. It is divided into two independent units, each with living area, kitchen, bath, and laundry facilities. It has a one-bedroom unit (Unit A) with a queen bed and an efficiency unit (Unit B) with a king bed. Unit A is wheelchair-accessible. Both open onto a large shaded porch offering beautiful mountain and sunset vistas. It is on a quiet street near the edge of town just a few minutes' walk from shops and eateries. Everyone you meet will be able to answer your questions about where to eat, and what to do. You are at the gateway to Big Bend National Park. The Fort Peña Colorado County Park is a short 5mile drive from the house. Here you can go birding, fishing, or just take a walk. The Gage Gardens are a wonderful place to observe migrating birds and butterflies along with many native plant species. Going anywhere in Marathon is walkable or a short drive. Driving into the National Park to Panther Junction takes about an hour and a half. Please be considerate and treat my home with the love and care you would your own. The back porch is a common space shared by both units where many new friendships have been made and continued. If others are sharing the space please be respectful of noise after 10PM.
