Penobscot Room in a Historic B&B in Winterport, ME

We are The Old Winterport Commercial House. Our historic building, once a Stagecoach Stop for travelers, now offers a unique 5 bedroom Bed & Breakfast. Aren't you on a special getaway? Then why stay someplace where you have to make your own bed, make yourself breakfast, and then pay a cleaning fee? We clean our rooms on a daily basis (no extra fee), as well as serve a nutritious breakfast each morning. We can also give you all kinds of ideas about what to do in our area. All of the 5 rooms at The Old Winterport Commercial House are on the 2nd floor (no elevator) and are tastefully decorated with antiques from our 4,000 sq. ft. antique shop located on the 1st floor. Featured here is our Penobscot Room which has 1 full size bed, for 2 people, and a private full bathroom. Rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, separate temperature controls, WiFi, and air conditioning. In addition to your room, you have access to our cozy library as well as the breakfast room 24/7. Our t.v. Is also located in our breakfast room. Whether you want your privacy by staying in your room or visiting with the rest of the guests, that is your option. Your innkeepers, Ray and Ann Ronco, live on the 3rd floor, and are accessible to you or give you the privacy you want. Our breakfast room, refrigerator is stocked with complimentary bottled water, juices, and soda. We also have a Kreurig coffee maker available to our guests throughout the day and night. After breakfast bring your coffee or tea with you and look around our 4,000 sq. ft. antique shop. We have many unique and eclectic items from stained glass to furniture to glassware. We live on the 3rd floor which enables us to give our guests privacy. However, if you do need us, simply ring our doorbell or call Ann's cell phone. Winterport is an historic town along the Penobscot River. Great area to take that stroll to stretch your legs after a day of site seeing. Visit our local shops such as our tea lounge, Tea Maineia, and or winery/brewery, Winterport Winery/Penobscot Bay Brewery. There is no public transportation. The Old Winterport Commercial House is fully licensed by the State of Maine and has been for 16 years. We offer discounts for Elk Members, cash payments, and 3 night consecutive stays. The Old Winterport Commercial House is a quiet, cozy, and convenient B&B for day tripping all over our area. Only 16 miles from Bangor International Airport, and approximately 45 minutes to Acadia National Park (Bar Harbor).
