Our classic, Federal style home, was built in 1820, and completely renovated to the highest standard. Point Mountain Guest House is now available to those with distinguished taste, and an appreciation for special places. Whether you are visiting to ply the wild trout waters of the Upper Delaware River System, exploring the Catskills on a motorcycle, attending a wedding, or visiting summer campers. Your time at Point Mountain Guest House, will be a memorable part of your time in Hancock. As you enter the right side entrance under the carport, you ascend a very simple staircase, which opens up into a dramatic and spacious, 2200 square foot apartment. The living arrangements are as follows: Master Bedroom – queen bed, dresser, chest of drawers, nightstand, room features a custom tin ceiling and walk in cedar closet Bedroom 2 – queen bed, massive custom made matching bunk bed, dresser, chest of drawers, nightstand, room features a hand carved beam supports, and an incredible, salvaged, backlit stained glass window. 1 full bath set on Italian tile, with a classic clawfoot tub & shower, toilet, bidet, and pedestal sink Dining Room – Seating for 10 around a reclaimed table from the 1800’s, room features a custom tin ceiling, chandelier, and a pair of backlit stained glass windows that were salvaged from a church. A perfect setting for a meeting or dinner party. Kitchen – full size refrigerator, reclaimed machinist’s desk, farm style sink, stainless steel prep table, stainless steel range, and fully outfitted with quality housewares. Bright, airy, and very well appointed. Bring your own chef. (or hire Mike for your time here) Living area has 2 large, comfortable sofas, a black walnut industrial coffee table, antique armoire, and a custom bent hickory double rocker. Sleeps 6 in individual beds or 2 families of 4 (max 8 people) Queen Beds (2) Bunk Bed (1) Rollaway Beds (2 – modern, comfy ones, with no metal bars!) ****All beds feature brand new, memory foam mattresses and high quality bedding and pillows A/C and a modern radiant floor heating system, will keep you comfortable in spring, summer, fall, and winter. Point Mountain Guest House is likely the most unique, well appointed, lodging option in the Village of Hancock. Mike is available to schedule as a private chef. He is available at any time by phone. Hancock is considered to be the Gateway to the National Park Service's Wild and Scenic Upper Delaware River. The Town is going through a renaissance that attracts more people and businesses each year. We are conveniently located right off Route 17/Future I-86, and close to the market, restaurants, fly shops, liquor store, and Saturday Farmers Market. Easy travel by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or car. Naming convenient travel to Bethel Woods, Deposit, Callicoon, Roscoe, and Livingston Manor.
