At Home in the Country near I-79

We have three sleeping areas (plus 2 1/2 private baths) that you and your entourage are invited to utilize in our home for your next gathering or group travels. (These are two bedrooms and a loft area.) Most likely, WE WILL BE IN THE HOME, but out of your way, as needed! Let us know your plans to use the kitchen and the hot tub so we can be prepared. With this booking, all three sleeping spaces will be available to you so that you and your friends can travel together. "Hazel's Suite" is a wonderful vintage room with queen bed, ensuite bath, TV and closet kitchen. "Serenity Stay" room features a queen bed, mini fridge, and private bath. "The Private Loft" has a full and twin bed as well as a private half bath and balcony. In a nutshell, you will have 1 twin, 1 full and 2 queen beds as well as 2.5 private baths for your party. Availability of entire space is dependent on whether other rooms have previously been booked. Always inquire if uncertain. NOTE: We require a two night minimum for booking the three sleeping areas through "At Home in the Country." If you need just one night, you can book each bedroom separately and request the loft. If you definitely need just one night, please check back with us Tuesday before the game! We hope that this change in policy will help more Mountaineer fans find affordable lodging. You and your traveling companions can book all of our listings and enjoy the entire home. If you want to cook together, we have a great kitchen which will accommodate many chefs as well as a "viewing" area for the observers. :-) We have two distinct seating areas for socialization as well as TV's in both the kitchen and your master bedroom suite. There is also a “vintage” deck and gas grill for your use. We will also be in the the home, in our master suite, and can assist you as needed. We may also use the kitchen while you are booked, but we will be respectful of your needs. Normally, we cook while our guests are out, or go out to dinner ourselves and then hibernate in the Sun/TV room. We will certainly "get out of the way" as required! We live in the country on 45 wooded acres available for you to hike and explore. Private transportation is required. Plenty of free, secure parking. SMART PRICING: We enable Airbnb to alter our pricing automatically in response to supply and demand, so you may notice variations and fluctuations in pricing. As supply goes down, Airbnb will raise prices. Not all hosts enroll in this pricing feature. HUNTERS LIVE HERE: We have had a taxidermy student, as well as hunters living here and you can expect to see mounted deer in the home. If that is going to be a problem, please consider other lodging. CAT: We also have an "indoor/mostly outdoor" cat that wanders our home...EXCEPT FOR "Hazel's Suite" and "Serenity Stay" Room. We keep those rooms cat free zones. We can attempt to keep Molly outdoors while you are visiting if there are allergy concerns, especially if there is a guest staying in the loft area. Please let us know. OFF THE BEATEN PATH: While we are just about 2.5 miles from the I-79 interchange, the last half mile is lovingly called "bumpy," so you can consider it an authentic WV experience. INTERNET: Our Wi-Fi Internet is provided by the local phone service, and admittedly, is slow and intermittent. Please let us know if you can not access it and we will reset the modem. That usually fixes the problem. In the meantime, we DO get reasonable service from our cell service provider AT&T, and often access the internet through our phones.
