Our goal is for you to relax and enjoy your stay. The Hocking Hills area is known for it's remote, heavily forested, hilly terrain which is home to deer, wild turkey, coyote, fox and an occasional bear, plus a multitude of birds, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians and plants. You will find caves, waterfalls, creeks and miles of hiking trails at multiple state parks and nature preserves. Some trails are an easy walk, some are very challenging. All of them will amaze you with their unique features, and every season brings it's own beauty. You will need a car to visit the park areas. During the winter we highly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the winding, hilly roads in the Hocking Hills. Please Note: your price INCLUDES all taxes. Pets:We accept cats, and dogs who are well behaved, quiet, housebroken, and non-aggressive. For other types of pets give us a call and we will talk to you about your needs. Limit: There is a limit of 3 pets. No weight limit or breed exclusion for dogs. Price: We will charge a one-time fee of $30 for the first pet, and pets 2 & 3 stay for free! (Most places charge for extra pets.) No Fleas, Please: As a courtesy to all future guests, pets must be flea-free. Dirty Dogs: We hope your pets have fun here, but please do not bring dirty dogs into the cabin. Plan to bring towels to wipe off wet or dirty fur. Dogs are absolutely NOT permitted in the Jacuzzi. Hair will clog our septic system. Bathing should take place outside; you can use the water spigot on the side of the cabin or take warm water outside in our bucket. Furniture: If you know your dog or cat will be on the sofas or beds, bring clean sheets or blankets to completely cover the furniture (two sofas, two beds). Crates: If you leave your dog or cat unattended at the cabin, it must be confined in a crate. A pet left alone in strange surroundings is very likely to express it's frustration by chewing, scratching or marking it's surroundings which, in this case, would be the cabin. Leashes & tags: Dogs must be kept on a leash when outside the cabin. They may encounter other dogs, see a deer or other wild creature, or find other interesting diversions which would encourage them to run. Dog visitors in the Hocking Hills are, unfortunately, routinely lost in the miles of woods because the owners did not keep them leashed. (ID tags are highly recommended in case they do get loose). We do not permit harassment of local wildlife or domestic animals. If we observe your dog running loose, you will be asked to vacate the cabin and you forfeit your deposit and balance due. Barking: While we expect to hear dogs bark, persistent barking should be attended to. Messes: Please clean up after your dog around the cabin property. We have provided a pooper-scooper and garbage can, and doggie poop bags. Any deposits left in the wooded area are OK. Damage: Any damage to the cabin property which is caused by your pet, will be charged to you in accordance with our Rental Agreement.
