Spacious home 1km from the beach

3 bedroom spacious weekly rental only 1km from the beach in Port Elgin, Ontario. 3 bedrooms on the main level and a double pull out couch bed in the finished basement for additional guests. The size of this home makes it unique for a rental in this area. There are 3 large bedrooms and one small bedroom on the main level. Bedroom 1 has 2 double beds, bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a crib, bedroom 3 has a hotel king sized bed, and bedroom 4 is set up as an office. Window air conditioners are used to cool 2 of the bedrooms for sleeping in the summer. Guests are to bring bedding and towels (comforters are on the beds already) The finished basement has a double pull out sofa bed, couch, and 51" flat screen TV. Great for a separate family or teenagers. The basement also has a bar and kitchenette for entertaining. WiFi, cable, and DVD player are provided. Outdoors there is a grill and patio table with 6 chairs as well as a fire pit. The mature trees on the lot give plenty of options for shade or sunny outdoor seating. There is enough parking for 3 cars in the driveway. Whole house and basement excluding a storage room in the basement. We rent our home while we are abroad. Family in the area will be available for emergencies or concerns. A lawn maintenance crew will come on Saturdays to mow the lawn. Linens and towels for the beds are not provided, it is the responsibility of the guest to bring sheets and pillowcases for the beds they intend to use. As a cottage, you must bring all food and essentials (some TP, handsoap, dishsoap is at the house but you should plan to bring these items) 1km from the harbour front where you can watch picturesque sunsets while strolling the beach, having an ice cream, or sitting peacefully on a bench. There is also mini golf and a short train ride at the beach. Sundays in the summer, enjoy live music in the evening as well. Port Elgin is a vibrant community, it is not unusual to see lots of children playing on the sandy beach or at the playgrounds. Pickup volleyball games and yoga at the beach, and sunset paddle board groups (Thurs-Sat). For the kids, 1 block away is a playground and wooded trails if they need a break from the sand. Various restaurants and shops are located on the main street just a 1km walk away. Mid July-end of August is a very popular rental time and places fill fast. We only book weekly rentals during this time. Please book in advance but note that there is a 30 day cancellation policy. Check out: 10am on departure day Check in: 3pm on arrival day
