Massanutten Field House with private room.

We are near the end of a country road nestled against the west side of Massanutten Peak about 5 minutes drive from Valley mall in Harrisonburg, VA. Also about 20 minutes to Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. We are in a quiet neighborhood in a rural setting and have good roads for walking or bicycling. This area is great for outdoor activities, antiquing, and history. Harrisonburg is home to James Madison University and Eastern Mennonite University. The Blackfriar Theater is close. Entry into guest space is through the garage which goes into the laundry room/activity room and doubles as a food prep area with a double sink, coffee maker, toaster oven. In a cupboard above the sink are dishes and flatware, as well as sweeteners and creamers. In your bedroom is a cart with a microwave, and in the closet is a compact refrigerator/freezer. The bedroom is furnished with a dresser with drawers for your use, a small sofa, TV with Dish network and WIFI for streaming. You will access your area through the garage using a key from a lockbox by the entry door. The code will be in an email you receive from us before you arrive. There are also outdoor areas for your pleasure on the front porch. You are welcome to wander our grounds and flower gardens. The outdoors is an ongoing work of love as we continue to develop our two year old home and grounds. We love meeting new people and helping you find the gems in our beautiful spot in the earth. Come talk and ask any questions. Sometimes we won't be on the premises. There will always be a way to contact us or someone close by. Situated at the western base of Massanutten Peak in a secluded bowl offers privacy that gives you the feel of being far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Being rural and with only three other houses within view lets you know that the quiet is part of the beauty of our location. Even though you have to drive to restaurants etc they are only moments away. Two miles to pizza and a bit further to a cafe and also an ice cream shop. Feel free to take walks around the area. Driving is about the only way to get around unless you bring bicycles.
