Our Cabins (9) with Fireplace are authentic and built in 1950's but renovated with many of the modern conveniences. Each having a little porch with chairs overlooking the yard. We are away from the main highway on a Trail & River. Algonquin Park; 10 minutes away. Free Algonquin Park Visitors Pass for Museums, Galleries and Trails. WINTER: Free Snow Shoes or IceHiking Gear & Free Firewood. 1) We are the closest Log Cabins to Algonquin Park. 2) Adults and Couples Only Escape. 3) Deluxe Quality King Bed with Fireplace and free firewood. 4) Pet Friendly. 5) Included in Price a Simple Hot Breakfast 6) Included in Price a Simple wilderness style Hot Dinner, simple fare. At Dinner you can bring your own Wine or Beer. 7) Free Algonquin Park Visitors Pass to visit Museums, Galleries and Trails. 8) There is a choice between Kayaks or Canoes to use Free of charge on our semi-private 5 kilometer long lake during the time between June 1st and October 31st. 9) There is a choice between Snow shoes or IceHiking (fun and safe for walking with crampon cleats and hiking poles) Gear to use Free of charge in the winter months from Christmas to end of April. 10) We are a Carbon Neutral Eco Location with tall grasses surrounded by tall pines with a river and lake in front of us. We use Solar and Firewood. We sell electricity to the Government State and buy back propane and electricity. The Wood Cabin is completely your own. It has its own private washroom and shower. You can access the Porch of the owner for wifi. There is an abandoned railway line that goes through the front of the property for walking along the Madawaska River. Ken and Penny will be your host and on the Property from early morning to late evening. But when you have the Do-Not-Disturb on your cabin you will be left alone. Ken and Penny generally are busy taking care of the property, they will interact very little. You can relax and enjoy. What is not to love about Algonquin Park. Nature, fresh air to breathe, glorious views. Madmusher for great on Tap beer! LCBO, GAS and Charboneaus Fresh Mart. Walk along the abandoned Railway Line directly in front of the House. Follows the Madawaska River, bring a Camera. Bring a swim suit. Kayaks and Canoes are free to use and are great for exploring our semi-private 5 km long lake. In Winter: Free Gear; Snowshoes and IceHiking make it easy to walk Algonquin Trails. Cars for getting into the Algonquin Park or into Whitney for LCBO and GAS. CELL TOWER is very near, Excellent Coverage. WIFI is next door at the MAD MUSHER Restaurant. Great Beer on Tap. or Wifi from Ken and Penny's Porch. Refrigerator is in the Cabin to store food items. Kettle and Coffee Machine in Cabin.
