Our home is located on the Olympic Peninsula, just steps from where the Duckabush River meets the Hood Canal. We have tried to create a cozy and rustic space for guests to relax in! The cabin is conveniently located near lots of hiking trails, and several public beaches. Prepare to be completely engulfed in nature, as the property is home to many interesting and rare plants and trees. Come sit in the hot tub, while bald eagles fly overhead, or head to a public beach and find a bounty of oysters! You'll have the entire two bottom floors as your own during your stay! This includes a bedroom with office space, a bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, dining, and living room. You'll also have access to the whole property including gardens, patio, fire pit and hot tub. We hope you find our home to be cozy! Please enjoy all the snuggly blankets, the propane fireplace and the reading nook! Help yourself to any foodstuffs, and make use of our capable kitchen! We have a collection of board games and movies to keep you entertained. We have plenty of extra towels and bedding available if needed. The top floor is our private space for our personal belongings, so we have it roped off. We are always available by phone during your stay, but are usually physically located in Seattle. If you need anything at all, please let us know. The house should be fully set up, and you should have everything you need for your stay. If you are looking for a solid meal and a great view, head north on Route 101 to the Geoduck restaurant/bar. Sit outside on the patio and look out over the canal! If you’re looking for some oysters, head south on 101 for 10 miles to Hama Hama. They have a large outdoor seating area and the yummiest oysters around! There are an endless amount of hiking options in the area including Dosewallips, Mt. Walker, Mt. Jupiter, Duckabush River and lots more! You should certainly have your own vehicle or a rental out here to get around. The neighborhood is very quiet, and you most likely wont see many neighbors! The town is very small, but includes a handful of restaurants, stores and a gas station. We have a hiking guide included at the house. We do have Wifi at the cabin, but it is satellite so it’s not really great for streaming. Hot tub disclaimer* We definitely do our best to ensure the hot tub is available to all guests. Due to maintenance requirements and the occasional power outage we can not guarantee the hot tub will be available for use 100% of the time. Thanks for your understanding.
