Rustic Hopatcong Cottage

Enjoy our rustic cottage at Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey's largest lake. The cottage was renovated for a "getaway" from New York City. The wood paneled "Great Room" promotes bonding and interacting, with a cozy areas for privacy. We enjoy this home and hope you will as well. The lake is accessible at the nearby Byram Bay Beach Club. Guest Passes required. $5/pass. Perfect for wedding parties, families vacationing/skiing together and work groups. Mountain Creek Resort (22 miles) The wood paneled "Great Room" feels more like a "ski lodge." Easily bring a large group together for family movies near the wood burning stove, or enjoy a book in a comfortable chair of your own. Each bedroom has a window A/C unit and two ceiling fans in the living room. The home is all yours. Please enjoy it. I am always a phonecall or txt away. I usually check on property in the mornings. While sitting on the front porch, you may find it hard to believe you are less than 50 miles from Times Square in New York City. The neighborhood is quiet, hawks fly over head, chipmunks run across the grass. It feels a little like you're in the hills and a little like you're in the country. Meanwhile, you are drive to shopping, dining, I-80 Highway and entertainment. We can comfortably accomodate 3-4 ( a few more if you are willing to block some) Uber and Lyft are available. Occasionally, guests show up without cars and use car services to get around. NJ Transit Train Stations: Lake Hopatcong Station (6 miles); Netcong Station (7.1 miles) Lake Hopatcong Station; Mt. Please keep noise low and respectful of my neighbor to avoid complaints, especially after 8pm.
