Holly's Cottage by the Lake

Driving a little south of Texarkana (10 miles), brings you to a lovely little lake (Lake Davis), where you will find a quiet, cozy, and peaceful place to lay your head. It's more about a down home feel rather than an upscale, ultra modern place. I welcome travelers from all over the world who bring with them a piece (peace) from their world in which to share. You will feel like you are "coming home" when you stay here! Guest bedroom has an adjoining private bathroom. Double bed plus a single size padded COT. Closet, desk, chest of drawers, and a small library are in the room. Small refrigerator in room. Wi-Fi available is a high speed fiber internet with fiber speeds (download/upload) 50Mbps, unlimited data usage. Also, T Mobile phones may have limited service from my house. Living room, front porch, lake and surrounding areas. I work full time during the week. If I'm not there when you arrive, there will be a key available to the back door. Just go on inside and make yourself at home! Guest room is on left side of house after passing through the kitchen. Here is a pastoral lake surrounded by a tranquil forest. It's a peaceful, quiet haven set apart from the "flurry" of the cities and the bustle of the highways. There are no fast food places close to where I live, so you might want to eat before arriving to my house, or feel free to bring in your own food. However, there IS a good little country diner about 8 minutes from my house called Hwy 237 Grill, 10749 Ferry Rd., Texarkana, AR 71854. Another good local eatery is about 15 minutes from my house, called La Fogata, 3401 Genoa Rd., Texarkana, AR 71854. They serve delicious Tex-Mex food. Both of these places serve good food, are not too expensive, and are fairly close to my house-- but I have no McDonald's, Burger Kings, or Sonics in my "neck of the woods"! No public transportation available in the area.
