Charming garden cottage

This small cottage is nestled in a professionally landscaped garden 1.5 miles north of Bristol village. Cozy double bed, dresser, ceiling fan with vaulted ceiling make it a sweet destination. Very private outdoor shower with hot/cold water, outdoor sink, and a flushable toilet within a separate "outhouse". The cottage does not have heat which makes this a seasonal rental only. In cool weather, an electric space heater works great. The double sized bed makes this a cozy fit for two. Guests can use the main house for access to an indoor bathroom when owner is home. I have a full time job so will greet you in the evening. Spend some time with me in the screened porch of the main house. I have a wealth of knowledge of things to do and would be happy to be your personal concierge. Bristol is a charming village nestled on the western side of the Green Mountains and surrounded by farmland. Hiking trails start from the village or are within a short drive. On hot summer days, check out Bartlett Falls and other swimming holes in the New Haven River. There are miles of cycling on paved or dirt roads in any direction. The famous App Gap or Lincoln Gap challenges start/end here. 20 minutes from Middlebury College; 30 minutes to Kingsland Bay State Park on Lake Champlain; 45 minutes to Burlington. There are plenty of restaurants, from gourmet to casual, serving locally sourced food and craft brews. Our downtown is one block long with an interesting mix of stores and friendly shopkeepers. Honey Lights, a charming beeswax candle shop, makes great gifts. Art on Main features local artists of all genres. Rocky Dale Gardens is a treasure. Music, farmer’s markets, food and brew tours and berry picking are just a few options for local summer experiences within Addison County. Vehicle is desirable. Parking on site. Score big points for biking to/from here. I have one sweet cat that does not enter the cabin. But careful that she not jump in your car!
