Cozy Catskills Cottage - Getaway In the Woods

Our quiet and private cottage sits at the edge of 10 mostly wooded acres. A sun-filled, tree-lined deck is perfect for a cook-out or to just sit and relax and take in the smells, sights and sounds of the resplendent nature. In colder months you can enjoy the beauty and comfort of a wood-burning stove. Pets on a leash are welcome. Perfect for a rural getaway. A great place to relax, cook, make a fire and take a break from busy life. There is a deck with a gas grill, patio table and chairs and hammock and woodshed for winter indoor fires. Both bedrooms have a queen beds and the other has full bed. Wifi, hot water, fireplace, heating, fridge, stove, linens, towels, coffee maker, pots/pans, cutlery, knives and lots more provided. We also have a beautiful wood-burning sauna, that is available to rent by the hour, with advance notice. There is a pond with much wild life on the property with a small dock. We also have a wood-burning sauna, and you are welcome to use it by the hour for an additional fee. We're just 15 minutes from Bethel Woods, 10 min from Kadampa Meditation Center. 5 minutes from Delaware River with area for swimming access. You will drive past my house at the head of the property, and you will probably see me in my garden. I tend to be hands-off, but am available should you need anything or have any issues. We are in a rural area, so there is no 'scene' per se. There is a fairly large grocery store about 5 minutes away, an outdoor brick-oven pizza restaurant, a small brewery and an ice cream parlor. What we have lots of is wonderful nature ... lots of places to hike, swim, canoe or kayak. There are a few neighboring towns with galleries, cute cafes, places to go antiquing and shopping. I'm happy to give you recommendations for whatever you seek to do. You will need a car to get around, there is space to park two cars. This lovely property is suitable for 4 guests maximum. The deck bedroom has a queen bed and sleeps two, the wooded bedroom has a queen bed and sleeps 2. Our cottage is for guests who want to enjoy peace and quiet in the country-side. Who love the hiking, the woods, the rivers and lakes of beautiful upstate NY. It is not for large parties or events. It's a charming retreat, in a beautiful natural setting. We will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, cotton sheets, flannel in the colder months and biodegradable natural soap. In summer, we grow a large garden, so let us know if you'd like fresh herbs or greens to enjoy with your dinner. Dogs are welcome here, we only ask that keep your pooch on a leash at all times when walking around and pick-up after them as needed. Also, please let us know if you intend on bringing your dog, so we can prepare accordingly. NOTE: This cottage is situated near, but not next to my residence. It is quiet and private and I do respect privacy - but it is not a secluded.
