The Blue Rabbit Hole is in a perfect location. By choosing our sweet little cozy and clean renovated cottage, you will be able to enjoy being in the heart of the historic downtown neighborhood, right where all the action of HGTV’s Home Town happens and just a hop, skip or short walk to downtown shopping, restaurants, events, and so much more! We specialize in “Southern Hospitality” and would love to have you as a guest. This property is not suitable for pets or recreational vehicles. The Blue Rabbit Hole is our littlest family member. She is a studio style, tiny cottage for two, decorated in bright, bold colors. 412 square feet of welcoming space. Of note there is only one queen bed on the property in the open space. Max guests are 2. Wondering how she got her name? When we first saw the cottage, she was all overgrown with a dense thicket. To get to the front door, you had to follow a low dark thick oval shaped path just like the Rabbit Hole from Alice in Wonderland. We hope you find it as magical as Alice found the Rabbit Hole on her adventures. The Blue Rabbit Hole features a Queen bed, sitting area with sofa and chairs, open to kitchen w/bar area, and full bathroom/shower. We offer a fun coffee, and tea bar. for you to enjoy. If you will be staying more than a day or two, please shop local to stock up on your favorite treats. Feel free to use any kitchen items while enjoying our home including the refrigerator inc. We appreciate you cleaning up after yourself. We have a map hanging in the common area, and we would love you to mark your hometown on it. We want you to have the best stay ever. Our guests have access to the entire cottage and there is also a carport for our guests to utilize and a small front yard that is private. Across the alley is a playground that can be used. Code for door is provided in check in instructions here on Air BnB. In the closet, there is a washer and dryer for a small emergency load of laundry if needed. Specific information (check in instructions) and pictures to help locating the cottage are included in the pictures of this listing. Please print the map that we provide before leaving for Laurel so you can locate it quickly. GPS didn’t always get you right there. Remember it is in the alley of 6th ave, not directly on 6th ave. The historic district is home to the most beautiful homes, tree lined streets, parks, and a terrific downtown. We love seeing all the renovating and creating that HGTV’s “Home Town” has done. We are so excited! Great shopping, food, events, festivals, and fun in downtown is just a few steps away! We are also a couple of blocks from the Amtrak train. We are right in the heart of everything that is going on here in Laurel. You can walk, cycle, or drive to anywhere you want in the downtown area. Fun places to visit during your stay is Laurel Mercantile, Sweet Something’s Bakery, Knight Butcher, Lee’s Coffee House, Pearl’s Diner, Mimo’s, Southern Antiques, Shug’s, Lauren Rogers ‘Museum, the Scotsman General Store, and Peddlers Junction to name a few. Always look at Main Street Laurel’ website for local happenings as well as the Jones County Ms chamber website. Laurel has so much to see and love and new things are popping up daily! There is a WiFi hotspot at The Blue Rabbit Hole for your use. It can be used for checking emails etc. streaming can become a challenge due to the location of the cottage. You will find it and the tv remote and the ac/heat controller which controls the temperature, right on the chest with the tv. We do have a DVD player with several movies for you to enjoy as well.
