Vintage Houseboat Experience #2

Come enjoy an escape from the rat race on our classic 1968 Nautaline Houseboat, docked in the classic, retro Liberty Harbor on the quiet and peaceful west side of Portage Des Sioux, Missouri. Come enjoy the undisturbed beauty and tranquil scenery of the Mighty Mississippi River, as the Indian Head Bluffs, island scenes and breathtaking sunsets take you back to a time when life was much simpler and peaceful. Guests have full use of the Houseboat (with the exception of driving it.) I am a very sociable person but I will only socialize at a guest’s request. I am available via phone, text or email from me 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM for comments or questions. I am available 24/7 for serious concerns or emergencies. Our marina is classic, retro and cool! With its ultra classic wooden walkways and the creaking of the steel dock along the pilings. We supply bicycles, wing-flyer scooters and an electric golf cart so guest’s can explore our quaint little town, find a favorite fishing hole or grab pizza & drinks at “The Blue Store”. If you are flying in or traveling from out of town we will be happy to give you a life for a small fuel donation. Uber and public transportation do not go to Portage Des Sioux and a taxi would be extremely pricey. Once you arrive, Bicycles, Wing Flyer Scooter’s and an electric Golf Cart are provided at no charge for our guest’s convenience. Bring plenty of food, drinks, charcoal, personal items, etc... the local store has a very limited selection and closes early. After 7:00 PM the nearest gas station, convenience store, grocery or department stores are in St Charles, a 20 or 30 Minute Drive away. The 30 gallon water supply and small water heater require you not run the water continuous when showering. This Houseboat is on the Muddy Mississippi. The natural authentic vintage river experience is super exciting because it’s peaceful, serine, tranquil and you can see nature in it’s rarest and most beautiful form - undisturbed by man. This means you will possibly see frogs, fish, turtles, beavers, spiders, birds, moths, rabbits, foxes, raccoons, squirrels, lizards and the occasional human. Please prepare yourself to encounter any or all of these friendly river creatures and do not expect a refund because you see one, or two, or three ... this is their natural habitat ... we simply get the privilege & honor of experiencing the wonder of their home.
