Historic Converted Barn Loft at Sobremesa Farm

Escape into peace in our historic converted barn loft at Sobremesa Farm. Tucked in the rolling hills just outside of Bloomington, we are convenient to the city and surrounding nature of Brown County, while also providing you a serene retreat for rest and relaxation. Our loft was created in 2015 as part of our restoration of a 1852 English threshing barn. Outfitted with a full kitchen, bathroom, walk-in shower, lofted sleeping area with a queen bed, and brand new fire pit. Large windows overlook pond and gardens. Located on a working organic farm, we have chickens, guinea fowl, goats, and 3 cats that share the property. Sobremesa Farm is part of the farm to table movement, we practice regenerative growing methods that result in the finest produce available. In addition we collaborate with local experts on organic and permaculture practices, enhancing the long term value of the farm and its impact on the local and regional landscape. Our mission is to add greater value to the local food link and to create multi-cultural events, educational opportunities and community gatherings. Sobremesa’s home is located in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. We are in a rural areal but very close (15 minutes) to town. Our street is well paved curvy, hilly, and picturesque. Many bicyclists use this road. We are 1 mile from Lake Lemon were you will find a small beach for swimming , boating, fishing and nice a pub. There is not public transportation, but Uber covers this area. We have plenty of free parking. We host a market on site Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm with seasonal produce, pottery, soaps and more.
