Spring in the Ozarks -- BOOK NOW
Glamorous Camping coined GLAMPING, has been included in my woods here in the Ozarks Hills near Roaring River State Park and Mark Twain National Forest. Kick back & take in the peace and tranquility. Feel the beauty of the forest while you experience camping in Luxury. Camping done for you . . . Yes, a real bed, the best there is... if you like foam memory mattresses, chairs and table inside. Heat when weather calls for it. NEW .... A private outdoor shower and Lou. NO MORE sharing. NEW :: PRIVATE SHOWER HOUSE AND LOO (toilet) Don't miss the awesome fall colors and weather at this location.... These Glamping Sites are NOT in a controlled environment . . being in the forest amongst the trees and wildlife many things can get disrupted. Just keep that in mind when booking. There is a Fire Pit on the deck, with limited fire wood provided for your first night... more for a small fee. There is no electricity in side the tent, yet I do have portable power stations (EgoFlow Products) available for rent and a security deposit if you feel you need it. BUT there is lighting, heated shower water and sink... all powered by batteries. You will enjoy having such a nice space all to yourselves . . .UPDATE this year is the private shower house and Lo right out your back door of the Yurt. You have ample room to move about on my 30 acres of woods. You are free to roam the primitive roads and woods. I intentionally keep it as untouched as possible yet clearly designed paths to the Yurts. PLEASE NOTE During winter months the outdoor shower house will be shut down. ALSO . . . beware of freezing rain and or snow during the winter. I will have to move you into another guest lodging room if such is the case for safety reasons. You must be accepting of these conditions when you book a reservation as there are NO exceptions to the concellation policy set forth. I am available when needed between the hours of 8am and 5pm, unless there is an emergency. You can always text or call me. You will enjoy having such a nice space all to yourselves. PLEASE NOTE During winter months when temps get below freezing the outdoor shower house will be shut down. ALSO . . . If there is freezing Rain or snow I will have to either refund your booking fee asking you to reschedule your stay, changing your reservation dates or move you inside to one of my guests rooms or cabin lodging I have on property (for liability reasons). You will enjoy the quite serenity of being surrounded by woods and wildlife. Because I keep lights to a minimum you will experience the beauty the night sky offers on cloudless nights. Even though you will be under the canopy of the trees you will still see the millions of stars above you as well as the gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. The beauty and the charm here is being away and unpluged experiencing your surroundings nature and all the forest has to offer, yet being close enough (with in 15 to 30 minutes) to find some unique dinning experiences with fine food and unique shopping. Of course The State Park and National Forest just down the road a mile and the Recreational Lakes within an easy 15 to 25 minute drive makes this place all the more a true ‘gem’ of a get away . . . mother nature’s bounty just around the next bend in the road. To say the neighborhood (area) is quiet, loud, noisy, busy, slow, tranquil etc. . . is subjective. Wildlife can be noisy.... LOL... I once had someone stay that complained the birds were too loud. So truly just make sure you want to experience Mother Nature and real life in the forest before booking this stay. This place sits on 30 acres of woods....the land sits just off rural State highway 112 (also known as the Sugar Camp Scenic Byway) that goes into the State Park just a mile down the road from here... If you come in peak season expect traffic on the State Roads. . . and there are many sounds nature makes . . . some of these things are peaceful for folks and some are unpleasant. So the uniqueness of this property and area are dependent on your EXPECTATIONS, comfort level, and Life EXPERIENCES. I once stayed on an island off Costa Ric (Website hidden by Airbnb) The most peaceful serene place one could be (besides at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, which I have been to also) BUT every morning around 4 am the Holler Monkeys swung through the Camp!! Talk about (Website hidden by Airbnb) just keep in mind there is always good and bad about a place and space one experiences. That is the key though right? The EXPERIENCE. I welcome you to my property to enjoy and hopefully experience it as I do and many others do. It is my pleasure to open my family homes and land (Glamping Sites) to others to create fond memories. Who knows it may just become a yearly tradition for you as it has for many who stay here year after year. NOTE check in times are between 4 and 6pm. If you need to check in after hours there will be a check in fee of $10 to $50 dependent on how far after hours your arrival is. NO Shower or running water during winter months. During Frezzing weather your reservation will be cancelled or not allowed to be booked. I do have two very sweet and friendly dogs that live with me on this 30 acres, I do let them roam free as they are very well behaved and friendly. They will only impact your stay by loving on you if you allow them too. Every one falls in love with them. And since I am pet friendly on my properties expect other guests to have dogs as well. Keep in mind even though this is in a rural area and in the county surrounded by woods it is also off of highway 112, so in peak season there will be many tourist in the area and traffic headed to the water ways and parks. CHECKOUT the House Rules and Manual before booking to make sure EXPECTATIONS are mutual and satisfactory. . . The following is part of AirBNB's article on BEING A CONSIDERATE GUEST . . .
