Carolyn and Cals cabin is usually booked solid, So besure to not wait. Little cabin charm set among the oaks. This little getaway has its own little flavor of cabin feel without being way back in woods. Cabin is nestled back far enough from hwy to have that rural feeling and the quiet and relaxing. We are just 3 miles from Lufkins loop 287. You have privacy and easy parking. There is a gas grill and firepit for your outside use. Sit on covered porch and drink your coffee in the mornings. The Cabin is a small apt. Set up like a basic rv inside. It has small fridge, induction hot plate, and all the cooking and eating utensils one needs. It has a couch that converts to different positions for your comfort for watching tv . It also has two window units for AC , and living room unit has heat and bdr has an oscillating fan for heat.There is a wonderful deck out front for enjoying the birds, squirrels and sometimes rabbits. It does have wifi, )and tv cable for your enjoyment. It has a Queen bed with memory foam mattress. It is cute and clean and just right for a quick getaway for one or two. It has small bath with shower. There are guest toiletries incase you forget something. It has a gas grill on porch for your use. Guests staying longer than 4 days are responsible for changing and washing their own towels and sheets. We will restock toilet paper and paper towel on request. You are set back at the back of the property by yourself, tucked up next and among the trees. Private, but not totally secluded. you are literally in our back yard, safe but just enough out of the way to be quiet. You have your own parking and deck for your enjoyment. You will be able to come and go as you please. You will have a key to lock door. This is a working property and as such my husband and I will be in and out. We do sit outside during the summer and are often working on the yard and flowerbeds a lot. We love to meet and get to know our guests if they wish to do so. But we also respect your privacy and wont bother you if privacy is what you want. We are out in country setting about 3.4 miles from loop on Lufkin. You will get the feeling of far out country , but with easy and quick access to city. If you are looking for privacy and quiet (for most part) this is the place. We are close to a lot of state and national forrest and streams for your enjoyment, and on a great cycling hwy. I provide alot of info on things to do around the area. For out property you will have to have a car or motorcycle to get around. We are out of the city and taxis do not come out here. I do offer a lot of maps for your getting around the area, and a lot of info. Because we are still employed at building houses we will be coming and going a lot. My husband will try to make as little noise as he can. If you are riding a motorcycle to our property, our drive is concrete, but cabin parking is on gravel. So we can provide a solid parking space for you , if you let us know ahead of time. Please note that this is a small space that can be a tight squeeze for some or not suitable for really tall, or large people.
