This lake is popular for watersports and incredible fishing. I live only 20 minutes away just in case any issues should come up. In addition to the obvious watersports and fishing opportunities, Santee is a popular golf destination. There are 3 golf courses just minutes away. Also for those interested in antiques, the small town of Elloree is only about a 10 minute drive. Elloree has many antique shops with a very popular museum with many displays depicting life in a small farming area of the south. Tea parties can also be scheduled at the downtown Tea Pot Museum.
