Enjoy the comforts of home in our 3 bedroom house in Lake Bluff with 2 high end queen beds, 2 twin beds, and a sofabed. We provide all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. 8 min to Great Lakes Naval Base, Shoreacres Golf Club 2 min to Rosalind Franklin University, 13 min to Six Flags Great America, 5 min to downtown Lake Bluff, shopping, restaurants, Lake Michigan, Metra train station. This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath updated home with all the amenities you need to have a comfortable stay. We have stocked it well, so that you have everything you need away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, bowls, and more. There are dishes and silverware for 8. We have included coffee and teas. In the bathroom, we have provided you with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and other emergency amenities, in case you forget anything. There are ceiling fans and black-out blinds in each bedroom. The common areas also have privacy drapes. In the living room, we have an assortment of tourist brochures to help plan your visit. We have one smart TV with cable TV in the living room. You can also use Chromecast to cast your smartphone or laptop to the TV. If you have a Netflix, Hulu, or Prime account, you can connect through the smart TV. Please Note: There are railroad tracks behind the back yard. The house and windows are well insulated and any trains that pass are barely noticeable. We have never had anyone comment about noise from trains. We have also been made aware of an occasional odor in the house. We have never noticed it in the house when we are frequently there for maintenance and cleaning. The house is on well/septic, and it could possibly be related. We do take precautions against pests in the house, even with no existing issues, so you may see mouse traps or ant baits in the house. Additionally, we may provide some cleaning supplies. You have access to the entire main floor of the house and the back yard. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom, near the bedrooms. Please note: You have complete privacy in the upstairs portion of the house. The basement is not part of the rental, and it may occasionally be rented out to another party. There are separate entrances for both spaces, and there is a locked door (in the kitchen) between the upstairs home and the downstairs stairway. We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. The best way to reach me is through the Airbnb App or by text. Our home is in a very safe and quiet area in unincorporated Lake Bluff. 8 min to Great Lakes Naval Base, Shoreacres Golf Club 2 min to Rosalind Franklin University, 13 min to Six Flags Great America, 5 min to downtown Lake Bluff, shopping, restaurants, Lake Michigan, Metra train station. 40 min to downtown Chicago It is easiest to drive in the area from the house. We are 2 miles from the Metra station, which will take you into the city. (Hidden by Airbnb) maps is a great way to plan your commute. You have complete privacy in the upstairs portion of the house. This is not a party house, but if you would like to host a small gathering (family holiday dinner, etc.), please let us know in advance. Please remember that you are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space (and neighbors) with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP. Children are welcome to stay here, but we do not have any special accommodations (no child-proofing, etc.) If you are bringing children and need something specific, please let us know in advance and we may be able to accommodate you.
