Luxurious Guest Suite with Private Entrance

Welcome to the Peninsula! Our townhouse is in the newer, quiet, walkable community of Iowa City with the entire lower level available for your stay! Easy street parking and private entry. Relax in your roomy, light filled living area complete with a mini fridge, microwave, china and glassware, Nespresso VirtuoPlus coffee maker, and a complimentary assortment of drinks and snacks . Binge on Netflix, HBO or many other apps via the 60" Roku TV. The private bed and bath is just off of your living area. In the bathroom you will find everything you might need for your stay, including a hairdryer, shower gels and a new rainfall shower head! The super comfy bedroom has a closet with hangers and a bureau. There are many plug in options to recharge your phones and other electronics, a clock radio as well as a sound machine to ensure a wonderful night's rest. Just off the sidewalk and down a short flight of stairs, there is a well lit, private entrance to the roomy lower level of the townhouse. Self check is fast and easy. We live on the top two levels of the townhouse and are available to help you with any needs you might have during your stay. Our area is in a quiet corner of Iowa City, just off I-80. We are a 5 minute drive to downtown Iowa City, The University of Iowa Hospitals and the many UI Sports facilities. Just 3 blocks away from our home is our small town center where you will find a coffee shop, a fitness center, a hair salon and a fantastic restaurant-Ramen Belly. There is also a bus that departs every 1/2 hour to points south and west. Just down the hill from our place is a 12 acre dog park. The park is surrounded by walking paths, an extensive frisbee golf course tucked into the woods and a beautiful pedestrian bridge that leads you to Coralville's First Ave and the brand new Iowa River Landing Development which has plenty of dining and shopping options as well as the new Xtream multipurpose Arena ! Because we are not far from I-80, your options to drive to surrounding towns is quick and easy. If you prefer to take a bus to UIHC, UI sports facilities or downtown, Iowa City bus stop is 4 blocks away and leaves every 1/2 hour. A ten minute walk takes you directly to Coralville's First Ave. A thirty minute walk (or short drive) away is Iowa City's City Park. This riverfront park features a playground & sports fields, plus a seasonal pool, & amphitheater. Just beside City Park is University of Iowa's Hancher Auditorium where you can have a drink while looking over the water and/or catch a performance! During this time of COVID -19 concerns, we understand the dilemma guests are facing. We have adopted the cleaning and disinfecting guideline precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We welcome all LGBTQ communities. As a female, I am very aware of the concerns of traveling alone. Please know that your stay with us is secure and private. Although we love children, our place is not suitable for anyone under the age of 12 years old. As noted in the House Rules, the suite is intended for 2 guests only. Each additional guest will be charged $100 per night for their stay.
