Red Canyon Retreat

This cozy above-garage apartment is nestled in Lander's beautiful Red Canyon. Just 15 minutes from downtown Lander, with access to fishing and miles of BLM land right in the neighborhood. It is a quiet and peaceful spot with lots of wildlife and great views. Removed from city lights, it's the perfect spot for stargazing. Roomy one bedroom apartment with open floor plan and small deck Apartment has kitchen equipped with small gas stove/oven and full sized fridge/freezer. BBQ grill available on main house deck I stay in the main house on the property and mostly keep to myself, giving guests their privacy, but am available to guests as needed. I am also available by phone/text/email. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, with lots of birds and deer roaming around. There are two public fishing access areas to the Little Popo Agie River right in the neighborhood, one just a mile from the house and the other about a mile and a half. It is just down the road from the NOLS Wyss campus and Red Canyon Wildlife Habitat Management area. Less than 30 minutes to beautiful Sinks Canyon and Wild Iris climbing area, just 20 minutes to Beaver Creek cross country ski area, less than 15 minutes to Johnny Behind the Rocks, and 15 minutes to downtown Lander. This is the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts, with numerous options for hiking, climbing, fishing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, trail running, paddle boarding, and more! Also a great spot to sit back and relax and escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. There is always plenty to do in Lander, with live music, farmers markets, festivals and more. Also within a few hours of Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Teton, and Thermopolis hot springs. Property is in a rural neighborhood 15 miles out of town, so a vehicle is necessary (unless you’re feeling really ambitious and up for a long bike ride). There is plenty of parking on the property, and guests can park right in front of the stairs to the apartment. It's a great opportunity to relax and "unplug" with limited internet and cell service. The apartment is above a detached garage, with two flights of stairs to access.
