Candlestick Guest Room in Old Home

The Candlestick Guest Room is one of three bedrooms available in my 1800 "Eyebrow" Colonial home. My home is located in bucolic Columbia County NY which is nestled between the Berkshires of MA and the beautiful Hudson River. The "Candlestick Room" is located in a charming 1800 "eyebrow" colonial located in bucollic Columbia County, NY which is perfectly nestled between the Berkshires and the Hudson River. During your stay enjoy the tranquility of two secluded acres surrounded by wood and fields, with views of rolling hills and beautiful sunsets. The grounds include an in-ground swimming pool, pond, mature gardens and organic vegetable garden. The entire house is tastefully decorated with antiques and artwork. The Living Room has a wood burning fireplace and adjacent Finnish Sauna. The "Candlestick Guest Room" is one of three bedrooms. It contains a beautiful antique single bed with carved wooden headboard. It is decorated with other lovely antique furniture and prints. The house is located 2 hours from Manhattan. It is equidistant between Hudson, NY and Great Barrington, MA, easily accessible from the Taconic State Parkway. Enjoy fine dining, shopping and antiquing in nearby Hudson NY Egremont MA and Great Barrington MA. Cultural activities include:Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum and Mass MOCA to name a few. Enjoy hiking, fishing,bicycling, bird watching, and golfing during the Spring, Summer, Fall. In the Winter ski Catamount ( only10 min away) and nearby Butternut in Great Barrington This is a pet friendly property.There are multiple animals in the household. NOT ideal for people with pet allergies. Cats will be in a separate wing of the house I live in a remarkable place. There are many reasons why - the people, the history, the natural beauty and the abundance of wildlife. There is no public transportation. A car is necessary to get around.
