My Little Guest Room in Flushing

(**IN JULY and AUGUST ONLY, due to safety issues concerning COVID19, the kitchen and dining room will not be available for this listing. Secondly, the guest bathroom will only be used by us for showering. We kindly ask that you cancel your reservation if you develop symptoms. Thank you, and please excuse this inconvenience**.) This room is a 10 x 12 converted front porch, located on the first floor of a two family home. The bathroom is on the second floor. This is a small space, big enough for two people sharing a bed. It is located right by the front door so it is perfect for guests that plan on arriving late at night and do not want to disturb anyone. Because it is located street side, you are sure to hear cars and buses as they pass by in the night. It has 5 windows and does not have black out curtains. In the mornings, you will receive a soft glow as the day gets brighter. I'll be on the second floor making coffee. I'll be happy to make you a cup if you let me know. The bathroom is a shared space with another guest room and is on the second floor. I have two cats so, not a good match for those of you with bad allergies or cat phobias. Yes I have had guests here with cat phobias. Ha ha. Guests have access to Wifi, and a small TV with Apple TV. I don’t care for strangers walking around my house. I would like to get to know my guests, greet my guests, smile at my guests, my children love talking with my guests and showing them things and asking questions. It’s a family atmosphere and you will be like a family friend coming to visit. Flushing is the biggest China town in all of New York!! We are a foodies paradise! In the morning, be sure to visit one of the many Asian pastry shops in the neighborhood to try a coconut creme bun or a red bean bun. For lunch or dinner, don't miss the opportunity to try some authentic Korean BBQ. There are Korean BBQ restaurants all over Flushing! We are just a 13 min walk from the 7 train and downtown Flushing, or, just catch the bus on the corner. I can help you find your way around NY! Public transport is a snap! Catch the bus or just walk! The subway is just 9 blocks away! The 7 train will take you all the way to Time Square! I expect certain considerations from my guests. It’s just me here cleaning up after you, two cats, two kids, and my husband. Please don't treat my home like a hotel, I do not want to feel like I have strangers in my home, but rather guests. When using the bathroom, please use only one towel, and if possible, hang your towel to dry in your room and reuse it a second time. If you need a towel for your wet long hair, I have special hair towels for you. Please limit your bathroom time to 15 minutes in consideration for other guest needs. Kindly keep the bathroom and shower tidy. Pick up any hair left behind in the shower. Keep the floors and counter tops dry. Do not leave toothpaste to dry in the sink. All of that is nasty and quite embarrassing, and I can not clean the bathroom after every use. Please do not eat on the beds. If you stain the sheets, kindly let me know as soon as possible and I will get you new clean ones and treat the stains before they set. All of this helps keep costs down and allows me to offer you these amenities at these prices. Thank you for your consideration.
