Beautiful "glamping" site located on 96 acres of native Texas Prairie and Cross Timber forest in Lockhart - the barbeque capital of Texas. Just 30 minutes south of Austin, your glamping site has all the comforts of home with a spacious Lotus-Belle tent with queen bed, deck, fire pit, private bath and all powered by solar panels having a small carbon footprint. The Preserve offers guests access to miles of hiking trails, all within a short drive to Austin, Houston, San Marcos, and San Antonio. Get away from the crowds of the city in our 16' round Lotus Bell Tent and enjoy the stars. Your campsite offers complete privacy to unwind and be comfortable in a bed. The tent’s solar powered air conditioning allows for cool nights while camping. We also provide a propane heater in the cooler months and fans year round. Sit by the camp fire and enjoy the seclusion of your natural surroundings. We provide fire starting supplies, as well as a cast iron pan, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups, eating utensils, french press coffee maker, coffee, and a kettle to heat water. Your private bathroom has hot and cold running water in the sink and shower and a composting toilet. Enjoy camping without the work. To accommodate 3rd guest, an additional twin bed placed in the Bell Tent. There is a$20 for the 3rd person. Please send us a message to make special arrangements. We provide products to you for additional cleaning if you need it. We are in residence on site if you need anything. An 8kW 220v charging station for an electric car is available. Meal options include drinks in an ice chest, hot country breakfast, biscuits and gravy, snack basket, lunch basket, and BBQ dinner, fajita dinner, burger dinner, just to name a few. Do not stay in another hotel, have a unique experience in a glamping tent. There are miles of hiking trails to enjoy on our 96 acres. Trial running and Mountain biking are allowed, prior arrangement are recomended. You will need a car to get around the Lockhart area. Uber is an option in and around Lockhart. Glamping allows you to enjoy all nature has to offer in south Texas. This includes the songs of crickets, frogs, the distant coyote, and the many birds passing through. This can be noisy even at night. Ear plugs are recommended if this is disturbing to you. Lockhart is known as the Barbeque capital of Texas. Kreuz Market, Smitty’s and Black’s Barbecue are the 3 biggest and best known to try. Other options for great food in Lockhart are Guadalajara for Mexican food, Mr. Taco for breakfast Tacos, Loop and Lils for pizza and salads, and The Culinary Room for gourmet and specialty items.
