Cozy home in the <3 of small town U.S.A.
Ranch style home located in a very nice quiet neighborhood with cul-de-sac. There is a large very spacious back yard. Off street parking, the driveway, as well as the garage depending on your needs. Total access to a shared living room area with very large T.V. and two large couches. Total access to a nice kitchen and laundry room. This home is a 1.5 bath. Therefore you would have mostly private access to the bathroom as there is another toilet and sink in my laundry room off of my bedroom. I take pride in having all your basic essentials such as fresh towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, toiletries etc. The pictures are in the process of being updated as I am putting a full size bed in the room as well as a smart t.v. I don't get a lot of time to watch t.v. so I only have Netflix you are welcome to but do not have cable. You will have immediate access to wifi upon arrival. Your room is the first room to the right down the hallway right across from the bathroom. We are not much more than a block from a Dollar General and Orschelen's. Honestly Fairbury is such a small sleepy little town that you are basically in walking distance of our grocery store, gas station, McDonalds and Subway. Walmart and Runza are just up the highway to the north less than a mile away. There is a nice new play park in walking distance if you have a little one. As for our business district we have several flower shops, a coffee shop/boutique, antique shops many wonderful places for souvenirs and gifts. Bar and grills, mexican and chinese restaurant, bars, movie theatre, gas station, verizon wireless, upholstery shop to name a few. We have a very nice gym and wellness center that includes a lap pool and hot tub. As for outdoor activites we are currently in the process of getting a brand new aquatic center. We have beautiful camping recreational park called Crystal Springs that features 3 lakes that allow fishing and kayaking. The park also has several large shaded picnic areas with grills. We have a huge wood park near the ball fields and more shaded picnic areas. There is access to a walking and bike trail that goes over our dam. There is a very pretty view on that trail. We are located very close to Rock Creek Station which was a stagecoach and Pony Express station in southeastern Nebraska, three miles northeast of the present-day village of Endicott and about 8 miles from Fairbury. The site is preserved as Rock Creek Station State Historical Park. There is a 40-acre recreational campground adjacent to the Rock Creek Station State Historical Park. Nearby Rock Creek State Historical Park's Visitor Center overlooks some 350 acres of prairie hilltops, timber-studded creek bottoms, and rugged ravines and draws. As for bigger city experiences we are not that far from Nebraska's capital city of Lincoln. We are just under 60 miles to south Lincoln. Lincoln's population is about 285,000. We are also about 20 miles from the Kansas state line which puts us about 75 miles from Manhattan, KS. The home of Kansas State University. Manhattans population is about 54,000. So if you would need more amenities you'd be only about an hours drive from both of those places. Fairbury is a very quiet, safe, small town. There is not a lot going on but if you're looking for small country town and a cozy quiet stay centered in the heart of the midwest, Fairbury is just for you. I do have a 1 year old. I have been so lucky he hasn't been sick yet and has slept through the night since he was very little. I do not think he would affect any guest's sleep but if a child is something you are not comfortable with this is definitely something you need to know about my listing.
