Located in Lorain on the shores of Lake Erie with a big yard overlooking the lake, & many outdoor amenities for you to enjoy. Freshly updated clean apartment above a detached garage, with private entrance, has a full kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room, a queen bed in the master, full size in 2nd bedroom, a full Futon & Blow up Queen Mattress. Crib etc in master closet. NO PARTIES! THE SPACE Our home is very comfortable & relaxing, We strictly adhere to the Airbnb safe covid protocols, we are self ck in and ck out. The apartment is completely private above our detached garage and has a separate entrance with a flight of stairs. Ideal for the business traveler, Weekender or extended stay. We sit on the edge of a cliff with a large back yard with lots of fun things for you to enjoy, there is a large break wall & steps that lead down to a 20 x 20 secluded deck that has steps into the lake, ideal for morning coffee, evening cocktails, fishing & kayaking or just relaxing & catching the afternoon rays, listening to the sounds of the waves. There is also a cozy “She Shed” with guest essentials like fire starter, wood, bug spray etc. it has a 15 x 15 deck & a lean to bar, a fire pit area to relax in the evening and watch the magnificent sun setting over Lorain lighthouse and the Black River. There are 2 Beaches close by, and the main beautiful Lakeview Park Beach and Rose Garden just 1 1/2 miles away. The space is ideal for a vacation or a relaxing stay on a business trip we have Wi-Fi and cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, all pots and pans, utensils, silverware, dishes, coffee maker & microwave. There are games to play & a DVD player in the large living/dining room & in the bedroom. We are conveniently located just 30 mins from downtown Cleveland with places like The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Westside Market and the Great Lakes Brewing Co. & lots of great restaurants. 20 mins from Oberlin College, 40 mins from Sandusky with Cedar Point & Kalahari & 45 mins to Port Clinton where you can catch the ferries to the Lake Erie Islands,- Put N Bay, Kelley’s Island and Middle Bass Island. We are just a couple miles from 3 convenient public boat ramps, whether you plan to go Perch/Walleye fishing or just a relaxing cruise down the Historic Black River, or take a sunset cruise on the Jet Express. During the summer there are always lots of things to do, either at the Lakeview Park & Beach or the Black River Landing with Friday night concerts. There are many wineries throughout the area so you can create your own personal tour. We are also walking distance from Spitzer Marina & the fishing pier. GUEST ACCESS The front door has a lockbox with key, I will provide the code to you prior to arrival. You have the entire private apartment. accept for 1 closet which will be marked as owner’s private space. You also have access to all the outdoor spaces, including a grill with utensils on the back deck of the Brown shed and use of the shed, contents, Firewood,Kayaks, life jackets and and its main deck. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We live next door, you will be able to reach us by phone or txt in the event that you need us, but we know folks want to enjoy their quiet private time, so you will see us only if we are out and about or having a fire and you care to join us. Lorain is a city on the re-birth, located in northeastern Ohio on Lake Erie at the mouth of the Black River. As of the 2010 Census it has a population of 64,097 making it Ohio's tenth largest city. The city is notable for its deindustrialized economy, formally being home to the American Ship Building Company (now a beautiful condo development with their own private boat slips) Ford Motor Company & United States Steel Co. the sprawling mill that stretches for 3 miles along the South side of the city had operated since 1895 and have all but closed down & the Ford Motor Co ceased all production in Dec 2005. But Lorain is in re-birth with the extensive overhaul of the infamous Charles Berry Bridge which is the second largest Bascule Bridge in the world & the extensive building of new medical facilities by both Mercy Health & The Cleveland Clinic bringing vast amounts of jobs to the area to many new smaller company's coming to make this their home such as The Bascule Brewery & Public House est. 2015. What could be the catalyst to the downtown rebirth is the complete renovation to the Broadway Building by Cobblestone Hotels, built in 1926 it will go through a restoration and renovation at the cost of close to 10mill. and will open once again as a Hotel called Arial on Broadway. Lorain is a big but beautiful and hard working city with such alot of amazing history, not to mention the beautiful waterfront and beaches. "Raise the Bridge". Respect the wildlife they are precious. Getting around is very easy we are near the highway and we do have Uber and Lyft in the area. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE. Assorted Snacks are provided along with coffee & tea. Towels are provided & clean linens to make up the sleeper sofa or the Queen blow up mattress if needed, will be in the bedding box. NO PARTIES.
