Bee Cave #2
Located w/in a walk to Ft. Washington SEPTA and Ambler, this late Victorian country home awaits. Room #2 has the most modern decor in the inn and its own closet. Two large windows. The kitchen, dining, formal parlor and laundry rooms are shared. Huge deck, fenced yard. Free hi-speed wifi. Adjacent blocks of historic beauty. A lock box for easy check-in. Bee Cave #2 shares a full bath with Bee Cave #1. Large wall-mount flat screen tv in basement, which is always open. Beauty, privacy, new bed and mattresses (June, 2018). Architectural details preserved, as are original woodwork and chimney in the kitchen and some other rooms as well. Upscale furnishings and amenities. Bee Cave #2 is a small cheerful loft room with lavender walls and a daisy rug. It has a low double bed with a gray upholstered foundation, a tiffany-style overhead light and two lamps. An upholstered chair for relaxing. No. 2 enjoys a variety of bedding textiles, depending on the season (and the laundry cycle!) It has built-in radiator heat, and a portable air conditioning unit (not a window unit). It shares a full shower bath with white linens, french themed accessories and a heavy designer cut glass waste bin under a lovely opening window. The bath also has a portable fan. Most of the house is open for wandering and relaxing. The large basement rec room has a huge flat screen and classic rock albums, along with a large sofa, comfy chairs, and even an extra double bed that is not one of the four listed bedrooms. The host request that the master bedroom, the 2d floor library, and the solarium office on the first floor be respected as private areas. Of course, if other guests are in residence, their bedrooms are to be respected as well. If we are around, we can be helpful (upon request)! Ambler and Fort Washington are filled with natural beauty, quaint entertainment and amazing places to eat, drink, and shop. A bus stops at your driveway entrance. Two SEPTA stations within a walk. There is a flexible escape ladder under the window of Bee Cave#1 just down the hall on the third floor that can be used as a fire escape. There is not a traditional exterior exit from the second or third floors. There is a grand public staircase between the first two floors, as well as a small "back stairs" between the kitchen and the second floor and another from the second to the third floor.
