Quiet Mountain Town Get-Away

This 2 bedroom mountain home is a great place to relax. Beat the valley heat in the summer or play in the snow in the winter. It is only 10 miles from the South Entrance of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Enjoy spending summer evenings around a campfire or winter evenings with hot chocolate beside the cozy wood stove. Our mountain home is 15 minutes from the southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. This one story home has an open floor plan inviting conversation and togetherness. There are two bathrooms one with a shower only and the other with a tub/shower combination. The kitchen is well laid out making it easy to entertain and carry on conversations while preparing meals. Not only is our home located 10 miles from Lassen Volcanic National Park it is also surrounded by Lassen National Forest land which is with in easy walking distance of the home. Lassen National Forest offers hiking trails, biking, fishing and many other recreational opportunities. The town of Mineral is a delightful little town of 123 people which is wonderful for gentle evening strolls around town. Guests will have access to the entire house and yard. Mineral is a charming little mountain town with sunny days and cool summer nights. Winters are generally cool and often come with quite a bit of snow. With a population of 123 people it is never hectic here. Many of the homes are vacation cottages with a scattering of year round residences. The town is great for walking as there is very little traffic so strolling around town is very pleasant. There are also several nice country roads and trails that are near enough that you can leave right from the house. No need for a car to access these trails. Biking is also a popular activity. There is a lodge, restaurant and post office in town.
