The Anchorage B&B - Skipjack

B&B Use Permit No. BB 19-04 Welcome to the Maryland Eastern Shore! Your home away from home is a room in a late Federal Telescopic Tidewater Style Bed & Breakfast called The Anchorage, circa 1800 facing the Choptank River. There are also 3 other rooms available at the B&B if traveling in groups or with family members. We are located right outside the historical town of Trappe very close to Easton, Oxford, Cambridge, and St. Michaels. Rooms include a daily continental breakfast. The Skipjack features a comfortable King Size bed, wi-fi, and private bathroom which has been freshly painted and modernized. There are 2 swivel leather chairs in the room for reading and relaxing, and the room has refurbished hardwood floors with oriental carpets. There is a closet for storing/hanging clothes, a coffee station, and a mini fridge. The room also includes a desk and chair if you want to work. Linens and towels as well as soap and toilet paper are provided. There is over 12 Acres to explore including a 500 foot beach with fabulous sunsets! There are plenty of attractions, events, crabbing, fishing, golfing, and food and music festivals going on all year as well as charter fishing, SUP classes, and boat rentals. We are happy to recommend things to do or see while you are here. There are 2 friendly barn cats that will be hanging around and have free roam of the property, however they are not allowed inside. If you have pet allergies please let us know and we can accommodate. You will have access to the entire property outside and of course the beach. Please bring water shoes for the beach as we often find items washed up on the shore, some of them sharp. Breakfast will be served in the dining room and you are welcome to use the large table by the pool to hang out, eat crabs, or just chill. There is no access at this time to the actual pool, hot tub, barn, or smokehouse. - Complimentary continental breakfast is served in the dining room - Use of lounge chairs at our private beach - Hammocks - Bottled water and snacks in your room - Books and board games for borrowing - Use of Kayaks and Windboard for no extra fee. Lifejackets and paddles included. - Can arrange Bike rental delivery for a small fee - Can arrange a group bike tour in the local area for an extra fee, please inquire - Can arrange a group or individual kayak tour for an extra fee, please inquire We are respectful of your privacy but please call or text us if you need anything even if it's after hours - or if you see us outside please feel free to chat - we want every experience to be a positive. The Anchorage is located in a quiet neighborhood easily accessed from Route 50 East - it's also on the way to Ocean City which is only an hour away and ideal for a weekend get away from DC, Philly, Virginia, or other parts of Maryland. The best way to get around is by car. Talbot County is home to the charming towns and villages of Easton, Oxford, Queen Anne, St. Michaels and Trappe. With over 600 miles of Chesapeake Bay waterfront, it’s the treasure of Maryland's Eastern Shore. Neighboring Dorchester County (Cambridge right across the bridge) offers charming towns, events, and festivals including the Strawberry Festival, ghost walks, beer and wine tasting, The Harriett Tubman Museum, Blackwater National Refuge and much more. Cambridge also hosts the famous Ironman and Eagleman. Excellent restaurants and bars are close by such as Avas, Theos, The Coffee Trappe, a brewpub (RAR) and many other options depending on your palate. Early check-in will be considered and granted depending on the ability to properly clean and set up the property in between guests. Security Deposit: The security deposit of $200.00 will automatically be returned 48 hours after check-out. The cost of damages, additional cleaning fees due to excess mess, lost Keys, and missing items from the room will be deducted from the security deposit via an Airbnb claim within 48 hours of check-out. Room Rates are based on Double Occupancy. Some rooms can accommodate additional guests. There is an Additional Guest fee of $25/guest/night. This includes children from ages 5 and up.
