This modern home is located down a country lane, 4 blocks from downtown, in Saint Helena, the "heart of the Napa Valley" wine country. You will be a short walk or drive from dozens of vineyards, wineries, restaurants and shops for which Saint Helena is famous. The year around beauty associated with the wine industry surrounds our home in every direction. Our home is ideal for 2 couples (or singles) who value the privacy provided by two very separate bedrooms on separate floors, each with a private bath. For the same rate per night if your group needs 3 beds, up to 6 guests can be accommodated by using the comfortable, double bed located in the open loft on the 2nd floor of the main house; a terrific value. Please note, however, that the second floor bathroom, which is accessed through the loft bedroom, is shared with the other bedroom on the 2nd floor. Alternatively, 2nd floor guests can use the first floor bath which is accessed from the hall as well as directly from the 1st floor bedroom. (ie 2 separate entrances to the bath) This property is great for gatherings for family/friend reunions, special birthdays, as well as business meetings. Several unique outdoor areas invite enjoying that great bottle of wine. Indoors, gather around the, grand piano, and dining/conference table that comfortably seats six guests. The floor plan has spaces to facilitate your entire group, as well as peaceful secluded areas to retreat to and recharge. All beds have 100% cotton linens, feather comforters and pillows with one set of 100% cotton towel sets per guest stored adjacent to the beds. The first floor bedroom has an antique, French- sleigh, king bed and adjacent bath with tiled shower. The airy, vaulted-ceiling 2nd floor bedroom has a cal-king bed with deck and bath with tiled shower. Additionally, there is an American 1840's four poster double bed in the 2nd floor loft that has curtains that can be drawn for visual privacy. The kitchen/dining area has been recently remodeled to open up and enhance guests gathering around the beautiful granite topped peninsula separating the 2 areas. Kitchen fixtures include a Thermadore gas range, Shaw sink. refrigerator with ice/water dispenser and wood counters. Two uniquely different outdoor areas include a dining and lounge area on the gravel hardscape with a great close in view; a secluded shady spot with chaise lounges for two is located in the back yard directly off the living room. A metal patio table with 4 matching chairs and umbrella, and Adirondack chairs. The house features stained concrete floors, galvanized metal finishes, stucco, rustic wood beams, re-purposed barn doors and windows, and antiques. Furnishings include a beautifully restored bamboo living room set, as well as pieces that have been passed down through several generations. The living room has a smart TV (basic channels), DVD/Blu-ray player, Italian chandelier and grand piano. The house is air-conditioned; with additional ceiling fans on the 2nd floor. There is Wi-Fi throughout the property. The first floor laundry room has a complimentary washer and dryer. There are private/public pools available for a fee at the following off site locations: 1. Health Spa Napa Valley within walking distance - private membership, but available on a daily basis 2. Saint Helena High School - public and a short drive away 3. Bothe State Park - a natural spring water seasonal pool within a 10 minute drive. 4. Calistoga, 8 miles away offers many hot spring options.
