We believe traveling is the best! We want your stay at our place to be a highlight of your trip! Our guesthouse offers comfort and quiet in the heart of Des Moines. Just a few minutes drive from the city center you’ll be close to all the necessities. This space was recently updated and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Whether it’s a quick overnight stay or a weekend getaway we hope you find our home as charming as we do! We hope that our home will feel like your home away from home! The space includes two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. A bathroom and large living room/dinning area. The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking pleasures and has a toaster, microwave and coffee pot. The house has a front and back porch, both of which are enclosed. It’s the perfect place on those snowy Iowa mornings to have your cup of joe. We also have a small back yard perfect for outdoor fun. The space has a lot of character and we hope it’s the perfect relaxing spot for your trip to Des Moines! Guest can access the entirety of the top floor. The porches and back yard are free to use. There is a driveway behind the house which you will have access too and the street parking is free. The basement and garage however are off limits. Thanks! You will have this property to yourselves! We will be available at any time and live nearby to help in any way when needed! The house is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood between the airport and downtown. It’s the perfect location if you ask me. Easy to get downtown within minutes and a quick drive to catch those early morning flights. There are also many restaurants within a few miles and a large park for the kids to run and play within blocks. The city does a great job of clearing the streets in the winter and you should be free to roam as you wish. SMOKING POLICY No smoking is permitted anywhere inside the property. We reserve the right to charge a $750 instant penalty, plus extra cleaning fees and the cost of future lost business if the house smells of smoke or contains smoking related litter.
