2000 sf private lake retreat with walkout basement. Panoramic views of Upper Silver Lake, w/private docks and 70 ft of Lake frontage. 5 deck spaces and 1 private dock to moor your boat. New this year 20ft pontoon available for rent advanced notice required. Private Hot tub and all sports lake. 4 private bedrooms and the "Captains Loft" makes for a 5th bedroom. We have 2 full baths. We allow 12-15 guests max including all children but prefer no more than 8 adults and 4 kids during winter months. Step into the main level Lounge to see panoramic views of Upper Silver Lake, Our private docks and 70 ft of Lake frontage. Look up to see Natural wood finishes and "The captains Loft" bonus bedroom. Comfortable furnishings and décor adorn this well appointed 1970s cottage. Amenities include Central Air conditioning, Cable in every room and app based options on some tvs, 2 brand new bathrooms, laundry room and a new kitchen with tankless/endless hot water, New stainless appliances and FULL size stack HE washer/dryer. One bath has a tub/shower and the other has a spacious shower. The refreshed and re-furbished living spaces will welcome you to sit down, relax, and enjoy the views. Step outside and enjoy one of 5 deck spaces and 2 private docks 1 where you can moor your boat or for a small fee use our 25 ft pontoon. Climb into our Hot tub for a soak after a long day playing at the Dunes or on the all sports lake. Use our fully appointed lake walk out kitchen or outdoor grilling area. 4 completely private bedrooms and the "Captains Loft" makes for a 5th bedroom. Enjoy a fire lakeside or on chillier nights enjoy the view by the gas fireplace in the main floor lounge. Parking available for your trailers and cars, larger trailers we can make nearby arrangements if notified in advance but we can accommodate most. Sleep space includes 1 king bed, 3 queen beds, 1 full, 2 twins, 1 pullout couch/queen, 1 roll away. 15 guests max including all children. We prefer no more than 8 adults and 4 children in the winter months. Here is the list of things included in a stay at "The Captains Lodge"............ Bath towels, 1800 thread count sheets and plenty of pillows, comfortable beds, T/P, hand soap, Iron and board, Filtered water, swim floats, Life jackets, Kayaks x 2, row boat, Pontoon to qualified guests at a small fee, plates, cups, glasses, silverware, grilling accessories., blender, Kurieg, *you bring k cups, Mixer, knives, food storage containers, dishwasher and soap, empty space in cabinets to unload your snacks and food, large 36 inch fridge, Additional bar fridge, Gas grill , Portable charcoal grill for picnicking available *bring your own coal, Air compressor to fill up tires after the dunes or swim floats, Basic hand tools on the honor system, if you break, loose, or accidentally take it with you just let us know so we can replace it for future guests., Bring your bicycle to enjoy biking through our neighborhood, to town, or on the 30 plus mile biking trail in Hart. Also included are, a small movie and book collection, Wii and hookups for your own system, cards, guest guide on hand to make you aware of everything from the wifi password to a location of a spare key in the event you lock yourself out. The guide will help you find just the fun you are looking for. Charging stations and night lights for comfort and convenience, cooler for boating and picnic, beverage cozies, deck chairs, and more. List of things to k cups, toiletries, blue tooth speaker for on the boat, Clothes, swim suit, beach towels, sun screen, water shoes, water toys, seasonings, salt pepper, etc, you are welcome to use what is here. Cooking oil, fire wood, your own boat or jet ski launch and dock available, 4x4s, jeeps, atvs, side by sides, sand rails, etc. HE Laundry soap, your favorite books, portable chairs and a canopy for the dunes, fishing poles and tackle AWESOME BASS & NORTHERN PIKE FISHING RIGHT OUT FRONT. Last but not least don't forget your vacation attitude! Nearby locations include Sable point lighthouse, Sliver lake state park/Lower silver lake, Silver lake ORV park, Mac Woods dune rides, go cart and fun center, sand drag way, Fox winery, Lake Michigan, all within 5 miles! Also enjoy nearby Pentwater 12 miles, or Ludington 27 miles to its historic state park. Farther off attractions include the Mighty Mackinac bridge, Traverse city, Cadillac with Ice fishing and snowmobiling, Michigan adventures theme park, Many Indian casinos all over the state! Every room in the house will be fully open for guests use with the exception of the supply closet under the stairs and the attic. Our yard has parking for 8 vehicles including trailers. The adjacent lot east of our home is for the use of all residents in the silver lake association including our guests. Spring & Summer-Most of the time we will be available to do a thorough walk thru to make sure you know where everything is and how it works. Fall & Winter-During this season it would be a self check in. Check in instruction would be sent before your arrival. We have a very detailed guest book as well to help you along. In the event you can't find what you need feel free to email, text or call if you have any questions during your stay and we will be happy to help you with whatever you need. Location, Location, Location, Sable point lighthouse, Silver lake state park and lower Silver lake, Silver lake ORV park, go cart and fun center, sand dragway, Lake Michigan, Mac wood dune rides and much more within 5 miles most less than 2 miles. Pentwater and Ludington are very close as well which makes this an all around great spot Winter Activities include-Ice fishing, cross country skiing, bowling alley nearby, movie theater 30 minutes away, warm campfires, soaking in the hot tub, enjoying family time by the fireplace. Cell phone service is very spotty at the house itself. Verizon has the best service that we are aware of. Our Wifi works good and is usually a good supplement to poor cell reception. The house & property has a lot of stairs and may not be a good fit for everyone.
