A beautiful interior complete with a spiral staircase is the perfect home base for your next Sonoma Coast getaway for up to eight. Located right near the Shell Beach access trail (it's about a 10-minute walk down to the sand), you'll also be close to the Ohlson Recreation Center and the Del Mar Recreation Center. Gualala is just under five miles to the north for groceries, a handful of restaurants, and even a couple of galleries. The unique hexagon floorplan boasts dramatic vaulted ceilings, a glass-framed cupola, and plenty of windows for natural light. Upstairs you'll find a lovely living area with a wood burning stove and a telescope for great ocean views. There is also an additional living with a flatscreen TV with satellite, DVD player, WiFi, and a Roku (there is a guest Netflix account set up for your convenience). The retro-styled kitchen at this cozy and eclectic home has black and white checkerboard flooring with a modern stove/oven and range, as well as all the other major appliances. Preparing meals in this space will no doubt be easy and fun! When it's time for a meal the dining table seats six. Two of the three bedrooms are on this main level. The kids' room offers four twin bunk beds, while another room has a queen. There's also a full bathroom with a shower/tub. The master bedroom - a relaxing retreat with a four-poster king bed is just down the spiral staircase. This lower level also features the second bathroom that has a gorgeous Mexican hand-painted sink and a stand-up shower. This home accommodates up to eight guests and two dogs. In addition to its ocean and meadow views, Seas the Day offers other amenities such as natural wood floors with pegs, a private washer/dryer, a Wii gaming system, and a charcoal grill. Outside, there are hiking trails steps from the home and it's only a 10-minute walk to the beach or One-Eyed Jack's Playground. Sea Ranch also has three recreation centers with pools, tennis, and saunas, as well as miles of hiking trails and a number of peaceful and beautiful beaches. The Sea Ranch Golf Links is four miles north and a day trip to Mendocino is about an hour's drive (53 miles). But, you might find that your favorite activity is staying home and relaxing in the hot tub or kicking back on the deck with a cool drink. No matter how you spend your time here, this beautiful Sea Ranch home promises a one-of-a-kind getaway! Things to Know: *Please view the TSRA website for current information regarding the use of community facilities, such as the swimming pools, saunas, tennis courts, etc. **To make a reservation and to review additional Policy and Procedure Information, please visit the TSRA facility reservation site. ***Due to high demand and limited availability of facilities as managed by TSRA, Vacasa cannot guarantee that all guests will have access to the pools/tennis courts. Please note that no refund(s) will be provided in relation to the TSRA facilities. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The $20 nightly fee will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: Reservations with 1-2 guests will receive 1 parking pass (unless otherwise specified), 3+ guests will receive 2 parking pass. The Sea Ranch Association only allows 2 passes per reservation. Parking passes are for cars parked within the Sea Ranch (at the rec centers, hiking trails etc) and must be visible in the vehicles. Most but not all of our houses will accommodate more than 2 cars. For guests with more than 2 cars, any additional car(s) can be used to go to and from the house without a pass but will need to remain in the drive way otherwise. On street parking is not permitted. Most of our house will not accommodate more than 3 cars. NO RV'S OR CAMPER VANS PERMITTED TO PARK ON SEA RANCH. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
