A little over a mile from the Huntington Library in San Marino which is a lovely walk. In the opposite direction about the same distance sits the The Pacific Asia Museum and the Pasadena Museum of California Art. A mile further is the Famed Norton Simon Museum with Old town Pasadena's exciting venues of bars and wonderful restaurants. The historic Santa Anita Race track is but a 10 minute drive and we are 5 blocks from the Rose Parade route on Colorado and 3 miles from the Rose bowl. If you like hiking the trails at the top of Lake Avenue will be a delight with a spectacular view of Southern California including Catalina Island. Public transportation is available close by with the Metro Gold Line to downtown Los Angeles and beyond. Several grocery stores (Traders Joe's/ Fresh& Easy) are within walking distance as well as a Peet's coffee and a Starbucks. Whole Food is less than 2 miles away. Movie theaters are close by.
