Modern, beautiful 2200 sq. ft. 3-bedroom, 2-bath home on 2.4 acres in Port Orford's tranquil forest. A long deck overlooks the large, fenced-in back yard. The adjacent log cabin has a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and dartboard AND, for visits limited to 2-3 nights, can sleep 2-3 additional people in its additional 2 bedrooms, with its own bathroom. Dogs are welcome BUT no cats or other pets. 2 long beaches are 5 minutes away. Golf at Bandon Dunes is a 30-minute drive north. Sitting on the long deck overlooking the back yard is a peaceful place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, or your evening repast, listening to the silence broken only by the sound of the tree branches moved by the wind. The home has fives beds -- a king bed in the master bedroom and two extra-long twin beds in each of the other two bedrooms. Pre-warm your bath towels in the towel heaters in the second and third bedrooms in the home and in the two bedrooms in the log cabin. As explained above, the log cabin has two additional bedrooms (with 5 total beds -- a queen bunk bed and 3 extra long twin beds) and a bathroom; but because our septic system cannot accommodate more than a total of 7-9 guests in both the home and log cabin for longer than 2-3 nights, we must limit groups larger than 6 people to 2-3 nights, which would include using the beds and bathroom in the log cabin (additional $40 per person per night). Groups of 5 or fewer guests (or 6 or fewer if 2 guests share the king bed in the master bedroom) who rent the home have full access to the ping pong table, pool table, foosball table, and dartboard in the log cabin. (PLEASE: all pool players must be at least age 16.) We live in San Francisco. Amanda Petersen, who lives in Bandon (25 minutes away), meticulously cleans, does the laundry, and generally takes excellent care of both the home and the log cabin. She also disarms the ADT security system before the guests arrive, and activates it after they leave. Guests can usually reach me (Peter Fortune) by texting or calling my mobile phone, which I will give to guests in my directions and information about the home and the log cabin. I will also give Amanda's mobile number. Our home and log cabin sit on 2.4 acres in the forest high above and a mile from Highway 101. Seldom will guests hear another vehicle or other noise. PLEASE NOTE: We are very dog friendly (but no cats or other pets) and we charge a one-time fee of $25 for each dog you bring (dogs must be well-behaved and housebroken and not "diggers" such that they would dig under our fence around our large back yard in order to get out of the yard). But Airbnb has not yet upgraded its system to allow us (and other hosts who allow dogs) to list and charge this $25/dog fee as one of the various charges (like the daily rate and the cleaning fee) when you make your reservation. So let us know how many dogs you will bring and then, when after you make your reservation, I will use Airbnb's system "Ask for Money" to send you a request for the dog fee, and you will use Airbnb's "Send money" and add the fee(s) for your dog(s) -- apart from and in addition to the charges Airbnb tells you for your reservation. Very sorry about this, but Airbnb has not upgraded its system to enable our guests to merely check a box and add the $25/dog fee to their total charges for their reservation. Very frustrating!
