The Yummy Mud Puddle has a great view of the Black mountains. Nearby are restaurants, family-friendly activities, live theater, contemporary crafts, hiking, river sports, art, and music. You’ll love the Puddle because of the peace and quiet, the deck, the comfy beds, and the nature. All are welcome including kids and well behaved dogs under 75 pounds. John and I live down the hill from the rental and are both full time artists. Our gallery and studios are open whenever we are home. In the kitchen you'll find handmade pottery by the co-owner, Claudia Dunaway and all around are lamps, drawings, paintings and sculptures by John D. Richards, genius and the other owner. We very private since we are a private dead end road off of a dead end street, but only 2 miles to the center of Burnsville with all it has to offer including restaurants, galleries, a movie theater, live theater, shops, and more. You will have the entire home to yourself. We are down the hill from you, but you will not see us unless you come down to visit our studios and gallery. We hope that our guests are self sufficient as we are working full time, but of course if they need us we are here or reachable by phone. The road to our rental house and home/studios is very private. There are only 2 full time families living here at this time on our 2 mile long road. Our property is located on 10 acres and is at the beginning of the private road. We are a rural community and there is no public transportation. If you are fit, it's a wonderful walk into town and the county has just completed the 4 lane road outside of town complete with sidewalks.
