The Chisholm Trail - The Shady Lady Bed & Breakfast

Named for the famous cattle trail that passed nearby, this room is a tribute to the cowboys with a handmade quilt made from generations of blue jeans from a local farming family. This guest room is best known for unique bathroom featuring a 6-foot copper soaking tub and the original washstand from the “ladies” that has been refurbished as a vanity with copper sink. Guests enter through their private entrance and walk up the stairs to the Gathering Place with comfortable seating overlooking the Courthouse, complete with refrigerator and microwave for personal enjoyment – perfect for groups enjoying their wine after a visit to one of our local wineries. Each of the four guest rooms has a unique theme with a nod to the town’s colorful past, each with a private, luxurious bath. All rooms have flat screen tv’s, complimentary WiFi and most have fireplaces. In the late (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, the downstairs was the nicest and most “respectable” saloon in town but the upstairs boasted the real entertainment – the soiled dove's establishment purportedly run by the Madame named Sarah. The Shady Lady is above our restaurant, Sarah's on the Square. Free parking and private access is on Commerce Street, on the north side. Private entrance is near the parking. Guests will be provided a security code for the door on or before arrival. Once inside there are stairs that lead to the Shady Lady.
