Access to a clothes washer and dryer is available upon request. The space is entirely private and all yours. There is a separate entrance. The outdoor areas you will share with us (a family of 3) . Easiest way to reach us is through the Airbnb message system, or text or call. We live in a walkable, safe and quiet semi-urban town just outside of DC--4 miles to the border and 9 miles to the U.S. Capitol building. Lots of parks, bike paths, restaurants and a few breweries. It is a ten minute walk to a Marc Commuter rail which brings you to Union Station in DC and a 20 minute walk to College Park Metro on the green line which runs more frequently and also brings you to DC. (Parking at the metro station is $5.20 per day if walking 20 minutes isn't your thing). There is also a bus that is not bad either--I can provide details as needed. Bike-share is within 10 minutes walk. Parking is on-street, free and plentiful. We live upstairs so you may hear us puttering around at times. It isn't obtrusive but if you want absolute silence, this might not be the best place to stay. We have a dog who won't be outside during your stay but FYI if you are allergic or phobic.
